What computer company do you like better: the original and popular Windows, and might I add that it has Windows 8 coming up. Or the futuristic Macintosh, also having the iPads, iPhones, ect. You decide.

I am not sure how it is futuristic, but I use Macs. iOS, however, is separate from OS X. I use an iPhone, but still miss webOS.

I like windows. It's all I've had for a computer (I never has a Mac or Linux or anything.) I've used a Mac and have no intentions to ever get one.

I mean like it has a more modern feel than
Windows, and it's a bit faster and it has no pop-up ads and viruses.

Speed is more a variable of hardware than the software. Pop-up ads are more a function of your browser properly blocking them, not your operating system. There are also Mac viruses and their number is only going to increase as the marketshare slowly increases.

I've tried Mac OS but I don't feel it's as clean or polished as people claim it to be. I prefer Windows OSbut i've seen Windows 7 being run on Mac books. I also own an iPhone so I can't really trash Apple.

Apple for sure -- switched to a Mac back in 2005 after having used Windows for 10 years and will absolutely never ever go back to using a PC with Windows...I won't even touch a PC anymore-- I use Macs at home, my ipad, my iPhone, and all the computers at my office are now Macs....all my employees use macbook pros or macbook airs, or a combination of iPhones and iPads....

Well, I think to start off, I'm pretty sure you have a misconception of what each of these OS's are. First off, the operating systems for iphones/ipads/etc., are different from the OS that runs on Macs. Although, and correct me if I'm wrong, but I think the first iphone ran a version of osx? Anyway, the same goes for Microsoft. Windows on a PC is completely different from that what you'll find on a Windows phone and the new surface tablet. So, if we're strictly talking about PC vs Mac software, that'll be different then if we're talking about the companies in a whole.

I don't think either operating system is more advanced than the other. They each have their benefits and their negatives. Like lazyboy said. The hardware you're running is going to influence what kind of experience you're going to have with either one drastically. As far as personal experience, I've used Windows my whole life. I've built my own computers for years. And considered Apple sacrilegious until I sort of dipped my toes into Apple's water with the ipod touch. From there it only made sense to get an ipad, and then from there I got an Apple tv. Now I just picked up my macbook air. I am enjoying it a lot. But I don't think it can replace my gaming pc anytime in the near future. So, I think it comes down to opinion.

For me, I haven't played around with OSx enough to give a solid opinion on it versus Windows. But I am loving a lot of things that are on it. Yes, it does feel more polished than Windows. I love the App store. Love how it comes without any freeware. Multi gestures are amazing. The build of the Macbook itself is second to none. But it all comes with a price. Apple is expensive. Windows, if you know what your doing, can give you more freedom for cheaper.

Whew, feel like a wrote a book. Sorry.

Got on board with Windows back in the early days of Windows 95 and have stuck with it ever since. PC's were just more readily available back in those days around here, not to mention WAY cheaper (still are). Plus, as someone who used to game more on my computer, PC's were where it was at as far as gaming was concerned.

I've got nothing against Apple or Mac's, per say, I just never familiarized myself with them and have always been happy with whatever PC I've been running at the time. Not saying I would never switch, just know that I can get a way more powerful PC for way less pretty much any day of the week.

I prefer the Apple stuff because I'm pretty dumb about tech stuff and they make it easy for dumb people to use. Plus, it all works together.

I don't know how long that will continue now that Steve Jobs is dead. But it has been good for me so far!

I could go back to windows if I had to, though. Since I remember having to go to the library, use the card catalog and sometimes microfiche, I wouldn't feel overly burdened with switching back to Windows...just rather not. :)

I have an Apple Macbook and iPhone for my personal use and a Windows 7 computer for work. I really think if you get a high end Windows computer or phone its all about the same...its just what you prefer.
