AP purchase question

How far out can you purchase an AP? I'm going in Jan/Feb and was reconsidering this after some calculations.

Pretty sure you can purchase whenever...then activate on site in Jan/Feb, that's when the 12 mos start.....

Yes, you can buy them whenever, but just don't activate them until you get there...make sure if you're booking thru Disney, you let the CM on the phone know that you have them, but they're not activated yet. We're going in May of 2020 and we bought ours (at the old price) from Sam's Club. I don't know if they raised their prices yet, but we bought ours after the WDW AP increase and still got them for the old price. If you're not a member, join first. They show the new price to non members, but once you log in with your membership number, the reduced price shows up. (They have to be bought on line, they don't have them in the stores) Good Luck!!
