I'm just wondering if anyone has ever stayed there before and could give me a quick review of what you thought of the hotel.

We will be staying there in a couple weeks and wanted to get a feel for what to expect. I suppose I could check tripadvisor or something like that but I thought I would check anyways.

Thanks in advance for anyone that replies!

We stayed there in 2000. I believe it was in one of the villas. It was a 2 bedroom. Very nice, spacious, and clean and convienent, right next to Walgreens. It only took a few minutes to get to WDW.

The Vistana Villages (on International Drive South) is newer than the original Vistana. Vistana Villages are very, very nice. From the suite ammenities to the pool areas. Gorgeous. The only negative would be a lack of restaurants on property. However, there are many chain restaurants nearby and a Publix. I am sure you will have a wonderful time there.

Thank you for the info guys! I really appreciate it. I've looked at some of the pictures online and everything looks really nice but looks can be deceiving. It's nice to get some positive feedback...makes me look forward to our trip even more now.

We were there 2 years ago. Overall we really liked it. We have a timeshare at Orange Lake, but there wasn't anything available there the week we wanted to go so we swapped for Sheraton Vistana. My only complaint was that the unit we were in was too close to the highway and there was too much noise. We even attended their timeshare presentation, we might've bought if we didn't already have Orange Lake.

we stayed there 2 years ago. Very nice 2 bedroom villa. Love having a kitchen and washer/dryer. That trip was Universal only. But it was such a nice place, staying offsite is now always a consideration when going to Orlando even if it's not a Vistana.

Talk about perfect timing, we just traded in our Vegas timeshare for Vistana Village so we can do WDW before we go on a Disney cruise. We are flying in from Europe, do you know if Vistana Village has a shuttle to the parks? We are debating on whether we should rent a car or not. Don't mean to hijack the thread, but didn't think another Vistana Village thread was necesarry.

Hi William....

Yes, Vistana Villages does provide a free shuttle to the parks. However, they do not run like the Disney Shuttles. Last we were there (October 2006), they had 3 leaving at different times in the morning and 3 running in the evening back to the resort. I am sure the times and number of runs vary on the time of season. You maybe able to contact them and they might be able to provide you with the times during your stay. Honestly, I would rent a car. It gives you so much more freedom instead of having to rely on their shuttles. With a car, it's much easier if you want to return to your villa in the afternoon or dine off property. Hope this helps you. Have a great time on your cruise!

If you are renting the shuttle is free, if you are staying through exchange or own there it is nominal fee.

I know this is a little late but I thought I would give my thoughts on the Vistana Villages.

We were there from March 20-29. The resort property is great! It's huge but pretty simple to get around. The pools were very nice and the staff was quite accommodating. Our room was nice, had a great view of the pool from our balcony. It was great to slip down to the hot tub for an hour after a long day of walking at the Parks.

The only problem we had was with the shuttles to WDW. They would run every so often in the morning which was fine with us. We usually would take the early shuttle to get to the park before it opened. The return shuttles were not very good however. Only two scheduled pick up times at night which wasn't the best. We ended up spending a bunch on cabs during the week which was a drag.

I would certainly stay there again but only if I was planning on a relaxing vacation where we stayed at the hotel the majority of the time. for our next trip to WDW, we will definitely be at a Disney hotel.

Sheraton Vistana Villages is VERY nice. We are DVC members and I have absolutely no problem booking extra vacations at the Sheraton when we're not staying on points or need an extra unit.

The resort just keeps getting better. They are adding a priate ship pool slide and very nice interactive pool complex later this year in the new part of the resort. Should be great fun for the kiddies similar to the Disney resort themed pools.
