Anyone disappointed with the Disney Cruise?

The food was fine except with allergies- they handled them all well except when telling us that all but the entree course comes without choice (our final night) and was all safe then not bringing it since he didnt 'choose' it (uh you said there wasnt a choice!) and my pet peeve- it should not take half way though entrees final night to bring me the same bev I've ordered every night...

I am curious about this. My son has a severe dairy, peanut, treenut and shellfish allergy, and we have never has a problem with selection of dishes for him either at the main dining rooms or buffets. I am just wondering what happened, because they are usually so great about allergies.

I agree with you about the drinks it is something we have come to expect from Disney and it is noticeable when it is not there. We have had the same server for 4 cruises on the Dream - we request him because he is so awesome - but last time they paired him with an inexperienced assistant server and our drinks, which are the same every time, were not at the table. On the 3rd night the server noticed that our drinks were not there and apologized profusely and even called over the head server to apologize to us. We appreciated that.

How dare he! Waiting on hundreds of people and you had to point out that you didn't get your drinks from the other night without asking. He should be cast overboard during the biggest squalls!

You misunderstand me, we didn't point out anything, nor would we. The server notice it on his own and made sure the assistant server was aware of it. I think it was happening at all his tables and he was not happy with the situation.

I hear you, but to bring up a one-night drink issue about reasons you were 'disappointed' with your cruise just seems like you're looking for reasons to be disappointed instead of just enjoying your vacation.

I was not disappointed at all. We had an amazing time. We have been on 12 Disney cruises and have always had an amazing time. I was expressing understanding with the prior posters frustration because we come to expect a certain level of service from DCL and it is noticeable when it is not there. Our server more than made up for the assistant.

Although it does seem like a minor thing, I don't think the OP is wrong to bring it up. Keeping drinks filled is one of the main jobs of the assistant and they don't have hundreds of people to serve. Each team usually has 4 or 5 tables tops so that they can give that kind of service to every table.
