Annual pass and Hoop Dee Doo

Based on advice received here, we plan on upgrading to APs the second day of our trip this summer to be able to take advantage of the discounts while on the trip. We also plan on seeing the Hoop Dee Doo, but you have to pay in full when you book. It would be nice to get the AP discount on that too. Hey, the savings would cover a couple nights resort parking.

So, is there a workaround without taking a chance on there being slots available after we arrive. I know you can buy APs anytime, and they aren't activated until you use it the first time, but will it work to make a reservation prior to your trip?

You should be able to book the show, and then once you lock in and/or activate the AP, just call them and they'll apply the discount (refund you the savings).
