The power for Animal Kingdom is generated by gators in the swamp swishing their tails left to right. The gators went on strike and refused to swish and the power went out.

There's one gator, named Ginger, that is usually pretty compliant. That's why some attractions were up and running. But, don't over-work her. If she's pushed too hard, I heard that Ginger snaps!
