We're doing a quick weekend before Pleasure Island closes.
Are the busses a pain to and from AKL?

We've always driven, so this will be a first.

ANY bus ride from AKL to DTD or back takes forever, as you are going from the extreme west side of property to the extreme east side.

Relax and enjoy the ride.

Slower than driving, but not too bad. Not much different from the other resorts bus transport.

There are no additional stops for the AKL bus. You have only one stop at AKL and from there the bus goes directly to DTD. There are 2 stops at DTD, the marketplace and PI. The only bad thing is that later in the day the DTD buses will go behind DTD to avoid the traffic. This will make the trip seem quite long. If time is a real issue I would take a cab.

I think that's about the longest distance at WDW, between the AKL and DTD, unless the GF resort to DTD is a little farther.

This journey is a long one but not terrible. Just be aware that it will take a long time and you will be fine!
