Animal Kingdom character tidbits

Years ago I remember walking into Main Street USA at the Magic Kingdom and Captain Hook was doing a meet n' greet infront of some gift shop and at the same time there was a castle show also being performed. So while waiting in line to snap a photo with Hook, I stood there looking straight ahead to watch the show and oddly enough a group of villains invade a portion of a show and Captain Hook was one of them. Being that I was of young age I was completely in shook to see two Hook's at once, I kept looking back and fourth at both Hook's to see which one was the real actual Hook. I couldn't determine it but it was a strange experience for me at that age and since then I had not seen anything like it. :dazzle:

And some say they have at AK and I hope AK will bring fresh new characters to that park, for example I wish they would reunite the whole Robin Hood cast and bring them to Camp Minnie-Mickey or at the entrance to the park being since I always tend to see Friar Tuck doing meet n' greets by himself at the entrance.

I'm saying if a character has an attraction dedcated to their movie then obviously they'd fit best there, but it doesn't mean they don't fit well in other places.

A real example would be the Brers and DAK.

I never said they didn't fit DAK, never. They would be better in MK at Splash.

Plenty of other characters could go in DAK besides the Br'ers.

I don't get why you want animal characters they hardly use, yet you want the Brers to go away?

And they do basically use every animal character they can that makes sense for that land. And the "Africa" trails are really in between Asia and Africa.

There have also been rare cases of 2 characters accidently being a the same place at the same time. They are told to just get away ASAP. :lookaroun

Since the thread is regarding Brer Rabbit and Brer Bear leaving AK for regular appearances, I am saying to send them where they belong(and used to do meet and greets in the 90s)

Realistically, do kids these days know who the heck these characters (the Brers) are?

Outside of Splash Mountain they have a little to none niche in modern pop culture

With that said, I'm glad they're in the parks, just curious as to how kids know who they are

Also, why no Brer Fox!? Its always rabbit and bear

I also hear that the character spot by the bridge to Dinoland will now have the Fab Four and also the pathway between Africa and Asia will have them as well. Also near the DVC kiosk by CMM will now have...ready for this? Mickey and Minnie! I mean not even Chip & Dale...So much for variety

Just for the record ,cause some took it wrong... This was a joke!!! I can't stand the lack of character variety at the parks the last few years as compared to years ago. Variety please!!!! And I don't mean for one 15 minute set a day at the DHS. Well I hope they re-release Robin Hood 3 months before my next trip... that may be the only way to see Maid Merian and the Sheriff!

I read the Brer Rabbit stories to my DS (aged 5 at the time), in preperation for his first trip to Disney, Knowing that he LOVES water rides and hoping to give him an understanding of the whole Splash Mountain experience.
The whole thing made sense to him and it has become his favourite ride at MK and Brer Rabbit one of his heros.
We never got the chance to see "Song of the South" until recently, but the I wonder if any of us would have had a clue what the hey was going on in that ride if we hadnt read the stories!
