Animal kindom nightime hours

We are getting ready for our next trip in October, and looking at the hours it shows animal kingdom closing at 5:00 pm every night. With Rivers of light, and the new night safaris coming, I assume those are going to change. Does anyone have any thoughts as to when the hours might get updated to reflect the new evening events and attractions in the park?

When they actually know when the show will premiere.

They are going to need at least 3 shows a night, so with an 8pm sunset, I think they will be needing at least a 10pm close, if not later.

My thought as well, but I also assume it isn't going to be every night.

This is why I hate the booking of dinning so far out. I want to set a good "Animal kingdom day" But if I am working with less than 100% information. With my luck I will end up picking a day that it will close early, then be stuck trying to switch reservations etc.

I would be really surprised if it isn't nightly.

Dining reservations aren't nearly as hard to come by as you seem to be implying here. You *can* make dining reservations at 180 days but you don't *need* to make dining reservations at 180 days. Disney said they'd have new information in May. Just wait a month.

I know I don't "need to" especially for animal kingdom... but like many others I seem to have this incessant desire to get everything perfect when it comes to WDW. Their should be a support group.

LOL - if such a group forms, sign me up! :)

FWIW, I'm with you -- we visit only once every few years, so planning is everything, and I don't want to have our itinerary/touring plans/dining plans all made, and then find out about an operating schedule change that blows it out of the water... ;)

I have the same problem, due to book meal reservations in 10 days and really wanted to do an evening in AK but its a complete lottery as to which night to pick. :arghh:
