It's probably very frustrating when you are trying to restart the ride when people don't listen and start walking around. What if they open the door while it's rotating? They could get smushed between those fences and the building. I could imagine that CM slowly turning his head, looking down, and saying:
"I told you to not open the door."

And yet people still got up and walked around despite all that going on over the speakers. (??)

I guess when someone transforms into a tourist, part of their brain checks-out.

Idiots. Holding up and probably cascading the entire attraction. The poor guests in the other theatres too.

I've seen this happen numerous times at COP. Kinda ruins the experience when you watch a scene several times in a row.

However, I'm fairly sure I know who the CM is who is begging people to remain seated, which is giving me a good laugh. I'd be at the end of my rope, too, if I was him. I don't know how anyone can deal with stupid guests for any extended period of time. (Check out the gang who exits at 1:20 in the video as the CMs implore people to remain seated. Typical WDW tourists.)

Being a ride host myself, I know the frustrations of guests not listening. It seems like a lot of people really don't understand how dangerous it can be to break the safety rules of a ride. I used to work on a ride that had a rotating floor, but luckily that rotated so fast it had seatbelts, and if anyone removed their seatbelt the ride would stop. Only problem was that it was a 15 min ride/5D show, and it would stop completely so we would have to start from the beginning again :p

I bet he's a member of these boards. :D

I do understand that the guests were moving around alot but he shouldn't have lost it like that. I'd be pretty ticked off if I were in the theater and he came across the speakers yelling like that in front of my kids. What he should have done was stop the show, go to the people getting up and moving around and without being an a-hole tell them that they need to come with him, and take them outside and release them to walk at their leisure. You remove guests that do not listen from the ride. You do not scream at them like a punk. What kind of image do you think most of those people had of Disney after that? He should keep in mind that some people at Disney are idiots. They refuse to listen no matter how many times you ask. It is the entitled nature of most these days. :brick:

This has happened to me. We got stuck in scene 4 of all scenes and had to watch it 4 times!!! Morons.

I know that most guests are morons when it comes to paying attention and watching their kids, but that was VERY unprofessional and VERY un-Disney like.

The Guests who kept getting up and disrupting the show are the FAIL here.... freaking a____________s ruining the show for all the others in every room (since if one stops they all have to stop!).

If you are a Guest as Walt Disney World HAVE SOME RESPECT FOR OTHERS.... Disney should in more of these instances Escort these Idiots OUT of the MK...Disney needs to grow a little thick skin and not allow crap like this....

Also there is a REAL danger to you if you exit this show during operation as the entire show building area you sit in literally rotates automaticly... you actually CAN die so if you are stupid here you will die or be crushed in such a way that you might wish you did.

As for the CM... yeah they got upset...but lets be clear if someone was injured or killed it would be their job no matter HOW much they "asked them to stay seated".... stand by my original assessment that Guests need to be tossed out of the park when they do this crap. Imagine the Lawsuit if one of them had been hurt!!!

I don't blame the CM for getting frustrated. If people still disobey the rules after the CM basically yelled it across the speakers, they shouldn't deserve to see the show. They are complete idiots. It's more like a guest fail than a CM fail.

Safety > Show.

Absolutely. Safety trumps show. He's not being frustrated he's being firm and it is what happens when people refuse to listen. I've seen that numerous times when guests refuse to listen and because it's safety it was always the right thing to do.

It's Disney's fault. There should be a cast member in every theater. There USED to be, but Disney decided it's cheaper to run the show with one, maybe two at the load and unload positions. When COP ran at DL, and it's replacement, American Sings, guests were never left alone. There was a cast member in EVERY theater.

I can't count how many times I've sat through the current show and someone decides half way through they want a churo. Get up and exit the theater, ruining the show for everyone by exposing the darkened theater to sunlight, and the noises from outside.

Aren't they supposed to do a full show dump when this happens to stop the chain reaction? I read about it in a similar thread not too long back.

Years ago, wasn't there a cast member actually killed getting stuck in the moving stage some how? I'm not sure if that's one of those urban legend things, but I thought the source I heard it from was reputable. Supposedly, they made some changes to the stage so it couldn't happen.

If that's true, it seems like there may be some cause to get upset. But, yeah, that guy's gotta learn to handle his anger... :)

This happened on my last visit... guests just getting up and leaving.
For some reason it meant we saw two of the scenes twice... which was frustrating and a shame for guests that have never seen this wonderful attraction before.
