An Even More EPIC Universe

I think that Epic Universe although it is great, it does have some major flaws. There are several lands that shouldn’t be at the park. Either because they’re better suited for other ones (Universal Monsters, Harry Potter) or because they don’t deserve a whole land at all (Dragon, Fantastic Beasts). I think the following would make for a better set of lands.

Friday the 13th : Camp Blood
----- (boat ride, similar to frozen ever after)
----- (The attraction would be a fast paced version of the Epcot ride. You board your own canoe that says Camp Crystal Lake on the side and venture down the river. What unfolds next may not be suitable for all audiences. Because you are next shown the iconic deaths from the film franchise.)

Robert-Englund-as-Freddy-Krueger-in-A-Nightmare-on-Elm-Street.jpg

Nightmare on Elm Street : Freddy’s Dream World
----- (drop tower, similar to tower of terror)
The attraction part, would be similar to “Tower” and a little like “Journey into Imagination”. You have fallen asleep and have entered the dream world of Freddy Krueger. Then much like in “Camp Blood”, you see the many deaths from the film series. And the really strange and creative ways they meet their demises. Like when Freddy’s head and arms came out of the television.)

Elvira’s Mega Monster Movie Ride
----- (omni mover, similar to the great movie ride)
----- (Venture through some of the Greatest Horror movies of all time. From the corny Drive-In Creature Features to the more serious Edge of your Seat thrillers. With our favorite Mistress of the Dark as our onboard narrator. Some of the horror classics include Halloween, The Shining, The Exorcist, IT, An American Werewolf, Poltergeist, The Thing, Hellraiser, Child’s Play, Silence of the Lambs, Saw, Scream, Gremlins, Critters, Pumpkin Head, The Fly.)

Queues

The "Friday the 13th" queue would look a lot like E.T.’s, but with summer camp cabins and the faint smells of pine. As you pass the main house you see a silhouette of the camp counselors in the windows. They are breaking the rules yet again and possibly fooling around. Something that Mrs. Voorhees and her son Jason disagree with. … So they have to be taught a lesson… even if it is their last ones.

For "Nightmare" the outside exterior of the building looks like Westin Hills Asylum from the film series. The place where Freddy’s mom once worked as a nurse. Once you are inside the building another nurse behind the desk shows you to the furnace room. This is where most of the queue takes place. It looks strikingly similar to the one for “Tower of Terror”, but with fires here and there glowing brightly in the furnaces. Occasional claw screeches and laughter can also be heard all around you from our favorite crispy psychopath.

Fun ideas, but some critique on why The Classic Monsters are chosen over slashers.

Classic Monsters have a broader appeal. They have stood the test of time for over 100 years now. They are Universal's Mickey in a sense. Slashers tend to turn off a good number of audience members, some who don't even mind horror.

The same people who often would enjoy Slashers enjoy the Classic Monsters and their iconography. The same can not be said the other way around as often. That means Monsters as a land is not a major flaw.

I love the creativity though!

I love the Universal Monsters, that is why I'm putting them in Universal Studios. It just feels like it is more appropriate based on history to put them in that one.

It's a good idea, but I already have a list for Epic.

Your idea could be awesome for another park though. If it was upto me I'd make it like Super Nintendo World with multiple Sega IP's. Picture a land with Sonic, Toe Jam & Earl, Golden Axe and Altered Beast.

Maybe you have a list for Looney Tunes and DC Comics for Epic?

I love the Universal Monsters, but there’s another Monsterverse that could lend itself well to it’s very own land. ... Godzilla vs Kong. The layout would be similar to Super Nintendo World. It would look like the city of Tokyo in the front and Hollow Earth (the center of the earth) in the back area.

gvsk.jpg

godzilla vs kong poster.jpg

The King of the Monsters
----- (tramway, similar to kongfrontation)
----- (The attraction would be a sequel to the Universal classic. Kong would be in Japan this time facing off against the King of Monsters himself, Godzilla. The pair would cause mass destruction throughout to buildings, bridges and fire hydrants. Godzilla even breathes fire, which you can definitely feel aboard the cable car.)

heav.jpg

kong vs warbat.jpg

H.E.A.V
----- (flight simulator, similar to Star Tours)
----- (Kong and his human companions undertake a perilous journey to find his true home. To do this you have to board a H.E.A.V. ship and follow Kong, he will lead the way to the earths core. Where various giant and deadly creatures live.)

mecha.jpg

Monarch Facility Tours
----- (rollercoaster, similar to cosmic rewind)
----- (A simple tour of the Monarch Facility goes wrong when the creatures escape from the test rooms. Including the MechaGodzilla, who has somehow taken control of his own robotic body.)

Restaurants

Yakitori (skewers), Sushi Palace, Gojira Club, Mr. Roboto’s and Kong’s Throne Room

This section would be made up of different popular Nick toons and would be geared more towards families than thrillseekers. The only toon which won’t appear is Spongebob, which I’d like to save for Islands of Adventure and his very own section.

rugrats.jpg

Rugrats
----- (omnimover, similar to spaceship earth)
----- (The series chronicles the misadventures of four babies and their know it all cousin as they face the perils of early life. The attraction will start right at the beginning and show Tommy’s life from being born to getting a new brother.)

rs.jpg

Ren & Stimpy in “The Big Pay Day”
----- (dark ride, similar to winnie the pooh)
----- (Ren and Stimpy, the two unlikely friends have gone through many humorous adventures together. In this story they try to kill off their owner, whose an old lady when they learn they have been left money in her will. But somehow she avoids their many traps. In the end though they have a change of heart and save her.)

fop.jpg

Fairly Oddparents
----- (suspended rail, similar to peter pan)
----- (The Fairly OddParents tells the story of a 10-year-old boy named Timmy Turner, who is granted two fairy godparents, Cosmo and Wanda, who grant his every wish to improve his terrible life.)

dte.jpg

Dora the Explorer
----- (boat ride, similar to tarzan and indy scenes in the great movie ride)
----- (In the attraction Dora and her pet monkey Boots are in search of an ancient relic. It is very similar to what you’d expect in an Indiana Jones version of the ride, but with a little girl, who could be more easily killed.)

jn 2.jpg

Jimmy Neutron: Boy Genius
----- (flight simulator, similar to flight of passage)
----- (Similar to the original attraction, but with better animation and a more fun experience. It wouldn’t just be a retheming of an even older attraction. Jimmy needs your help in stopping a group of aliens from stealing his technology. You board one of Jimmy Neutron’s rocket ships. Which hasn’t been fully tested yet… well until now.)

iz.jpg

Invader ZIM
----- (dark shooter ride, similar to buzz lightyear)
----- (Invader ZIM is an eccentric alien soldier from the planet Irk. He was banished from the Irken Empire after nearly destroying his home planet on an early mission. Now he has to regrettably save the human planet he thought about destroying from other aliens.)

This land would be Universal’s answer to Fantasyland at the Magic Kingdom. With subtle nods at it’s Disney equivalent. Much like Nickelodeon World it would be mostly for families with very little for thrillseekers, unless you’re scared of family coasters.

croods 3.jpg

The Croods: Prehistoric Adventures
----- (family coaster, similar to seven dwarfs mine train)
----- (A much longer version of the dwarfs ride, with more thrills as well. The attraction would show the Croods in their everyday lives. Which is often quite perilous because of the giant creatures they encounter. They manage to gather food by day and huddle together in their home cave at night.)

1.jpg

How to Train Your Dragon: World Beyond
----- (suspended dark ride, similar to peter pans flight)
----- (Ride aboard a dragon like Hiccup, a viking teen from the island of Berk. And see the place where vikings and dragons coexist. You would get a birds eye view of the land and water like with other dark rides like E.T. and Peter Pan’s Flight.)

shrek 2.png

Shrek: Out of the Swamp
----- (dark ride, similar to winnie the pooh)
----- (Taken from the first movie’s storyline, Our favorite ogre Shrek is living a life of peace in quiet, in his stinky swamp, but it doesn’t last. His home is invaded by fairytale characters far and wide. They were all banished from their kingdom by the evil Lord Farquaad. Determined to save their home, not to mention his Shrek cuts a deal with Farquaad and sets out to rescue Princess Fiona to be Farquaad's bride. Meeting even more strange characters along the way.)

2ae742a7350bb3324af26e33ab62d6e0.png

Trolls: World Tour
----- (omnimover, similar to under the sea)
----- (Poppy and Branch discover that there are six different troll tribes scattered over six different lands. Each tribe is also devoted to six different kinds of music. Funk, Country, Techno, Classical, Pop and Rock. )

Madagascar: Into the Wild
----- (inverted coaster, similar to arthur from europa)
----- (Marty the Zebra is not content with his life at the Central Park Zoo. So he plans an escape with the help of some cunning penguins to explore the world. Thankfully his friends are brought along with him (though not by choice) to keep him out of trouble.)

Restaurants

The Stinky Swamp, Dragon’s Edge, King Julien’s Fabulous Feast, Mr. Ping's Noodle Shop, Gingerbread House, The Muffin Man and Storybook Sweets

zelda.jpeg

The Legend of Zelda
----- (hybrid rail/boat ride, rumored zelda attraction)
----- (In the Super Mario section instead of the Yoshi attraction. The Legend of Zelda would be based on the rumored attraction that supposed to go in Island of Adventure. Combining both a suspended rail like Peter Pan for half and a boat like Pirates of the Caribbean for the last part. Link, the hero of our story is suddenly thrust into a mysterious, magical quest in the kingdom of Hyrule to save the princess, Zelda, from one evil or another.)

SMK.jpg

Super Mario Kart
----- (trackless, similar to ratatouille)
----- (In the Super Mario section, This version of the attraction would be a trackless ride. Since I didn’t feel they pulled off the virtual reality effectively in the original attraction in Japan.)

dk.jpg

Donkey Kong Country
----- (rollercoaster, similar to the rumored version)
----- (Donkey Kong has had a change of heart from his original appearance and has become good. All he wants to do his hang around in the jungle and eat bananas. But that isn’t possible because of the threat that has entered his jungle. The evil King K. Rool wants to knockdown all the trees. … And worst of all take all of bananas for himself.)

Future Expansion

f-zero wallpaper.jpg

F-Zero
----- (drift coaster, similar to rumored fast and the furious)
----- (This would be a part of a futuristic section in snw. The attraction would be a rollercoaster with drifting capabilities. Much like Fast and the Furious over at my universal studios park.)

starfox.jpg

Starfox
----- (flight simulator, similar to star tours)
----- (Very much like Star Tours, but instead of C3PO and R2D2, the characters would consist of Fox McCloud and his crew. As they battle other anthropomorphic beings in the galaxy. Fox McCloud is similar to the Rocket Raccoon animatronic used in Tower of Terror.)

metroid 2.png

Metroid
----- (shooter, similar to buzz lightyear)
----- (This parks version of buzz lightyear with better visibility on the lasers than it's mk counterpart. The aesthetic would be similar to the Alien movies throughout. With visitors collecting points just like on Buzz Lightyear. Also the main character Samus Aran, would be an animatronic in the queue. Just like Buzz Lightyear is in the attractions queue for his attraction at mk.)

Restaurants

Chef Mario, Toad Cafe, Banana Cabana and The Princess Royal Banquet Hall

----- (slot car ride, similar to journey to the center of the earth)
----- (Batman has been drugged and when he wakes up he finds himself inside the batmobile. But it isn't parked in the batcave... it's in Arkham Asylum. He tells his passengers not to worry he'll get them out. To do so though he must fight his way out of the prison and go through most of his rogues gallery.... even the condiment king. superman.jpg

Superman: Fight in Flight
----- (flight simulator, similar to flight of passage)

wonder woman.jpg

WonderCoaster
----- (family coaster, similar to slinky dog)

The coaster begins and ends in the Amazonian stadium and takes you through caves and down mountains. Passed targets with arrows in them shot by fellow competitors)

the flash.jpg

Flashback
----- (rollercoaster, similar to hyperspace mountain in dlp)
----- (You first start off in Star Labs where Dr. Martin Stein is computing data. He tells you (The Flash) that the timeline has changed. Reverse Flash went back with other villains to take over a period before Justice League existed. It’s upto you (The Flash) to go back and fix things. No, I think 6 sections is plenty. Doing anymore would begin to feel unrealistic for a new park.
I think Six Flags should built a theme park in Orlando so it will have both Looney Tunes and DC Comics IPs. I think DC Comics should be in new Six Flags park along with Looney Tunes in Orlando instead Epic Universe.

Man that sounds creepy, you definitely would have to have warnings at the entrance. It sounds like the haunted events like Spooky World, that happen around Halloween time. I went when I was a kid, the hayride especially scared the out of me.

I don't know which one it was, but I love the scene with the guy in the wheelchair. They are always creative with the death scenes. Surprisingly my favorites of the series are Friday the 13th part 4, 6 and the 11th (Freddy vs Jason).
