Trip Report Always two there are. No more. No less. **Completed**

Remember how in the final push for my previous TR when I had to make a bullet point list of the wild events in my last year?

Here comes a list of the things that happened in between writing the end of the last TR and the start of this one.

“How much could have possibly happened in a day and a half BES?!?” you are surely asking yourself.

Well…

• There’s an area rug sized hole in our family room ceiling.
• We have to replace a furnace
• DH decided not to go on the trip (due to above)

There might have been more stuff tbh but I’m too tired to fully process all of this now. More detailed explanations coming later.

So now it’s just me and lil BES on the trip.

I still don’t have full use of my left hand due to my fracture in November. I’ve only gotten a few hours of sleep. And lil BES has thrown some epic tantrums lately.

If I wasn’t sticking with Star Wars themed titles the runner up was:

Special lady time the vacation edition has already commenced.

The sponsor was General Electric who requested the song change.

There’s a Great Big Beautiful Tomorrow originated at the World’s Fair and was the song when CoP was at DL. I believe when GE’s sponsorship ended at WDW that the song returned to the original.

Thursday January 30th (Day 8):

Our Tragical Express was picking us up at 8:15am.

So by 8am I had to:

• Get us both up and ready
• Finish packing
• Get all of our luggage and the stroller to the main building
• Get lil BES (and hopefully me) breakfast
• Get everything and everyone to the bus pick up area.

7:24am-

7:31am-

7:47am-

8:19am-

Our bus ride started off great. Lil BES
was in great spirits. At some point in the ride it fully dawned on her what was happening.

Understandably she wasn’t ready for the magic to end.

I have blocked out just what level of tantrum it was. But it was bad. And it lasted all thru check in and TSA. All the way.

If you are wondering if TSA bats an eye if you are dragging along a toddler screaming. “No! Let me go! I don’t want to gooooooo!” They do not. Perhaps at MCO this is a pretty standard occurrence.

“I don’t wanna go hoooooooooooome!” She wailed on the fonorail.

A business man tried to console her. And wished me luck.

More screaming gate-side. She refused to go potty before we boarded. But eventually she calmed down. Enough to get gross.

Our row buddy on the flight home was a father of two littles so totally unphased by lil BES.

We all agree this was necessary right?

The flight home was uneventful. Regular lil BES was back.

And eventually we were back in Michigan.

By most measures special lady vacation was a huge success. Lil BES and I both have schemes to do it again. Hopefully with more planning.

Speaking of planning… I think I managed to plan out this TR timing right. Ended it at the perfect time… to start packing for the next one.

That photo of Lil Bes's meltdown at gate-side was hilarious. (Completely justified -- none of us ever want to end our Disney vacation!)

Loved this trip report. Brings back so many memories of taking toddlers to Disney, especially my little red headed child.

Lil BES’s airport tantrum is completely justified, I have often felt like having one myself there.

At some point we had to stroll past a group of people having a serious conversation. They were immediately showered in bubbles and lights and music.

I apologized. They insisted they didn’t mind and loved how delighted lil BES was.

If you are bothered by bubbles you shouldn’t be at Disney. Although I prefer to not have them in my food. Anyway it was considerate of you to mention to the group.

LOVED reading about your adventure with Lil BES. Special Lady Vacations are truly the best. I did a couple with LP early on and thought we might again this year, but my husband is not into it, he wants to go every time But he does sometimes peel off and go get his Epcot food booth fix without us so we get our lady time then. Gal time gets a lot easier when you don't have the stroller to manage!

Can't wait to read about the next one
