It's nice to see what Walt envisioned the area to become. Too bad that most of the ideas he envisioned were not put in place. It would have been a park that would have delivered a lot more fun and experiences. But that was Walt, wanting much more than what could actually be built.

Walt was not involved in this iteration of World Showcase. His versions were International Street at Disneyland and an international section inside EPCOT’s central core building. The EPCOT version is likely a source of the false claim that EPCOT was to be built beneath a giant dome. The EPCOT Film briefly shows an aerial view of the international street as seen looking through one of the central building’s domed skylights.
