It's not too much to ask is it? Cheap pasta. The profit margin on pasta must be HUGE. I just don't like to pay $20 for a plate of pasta. $8.00 is better for counter service pasta.

If anyone has any ideas please let me know.

Bring microwave pasta and cook it up in the microwave in the food court/snack bar? Leave property & hit one of the chains that abound there?
WDW food is expensive:shrug:

EDIT... All Star Sports End Zone has spaghetti & meatballs for $8.09 for lunch and $10.09 for dinner and that comes with salad!
AllStar Music food court has pasta with meatballs for $8.09. World Premiere has pasta too.

wander thru the menus and see what else you can find.

Tony's is good, but not cheap. They charge $16.99 for spaghetti & meatballs at dinner.

Wolfgang Puck Express at Downtown Disney does a nice spaghetti & salad for $11.99. It's a pretty large portion of pasta too.

The food court at POR had a pasta bar. You could add sauce and meat and I think it was around $10 but a big portion and POFQ has spaghetti and meatballs for around $8. You're right their profit margin is HUGE, that's why I never get pasta when I am eating out in WDW or anywhere else.

Pop Century's food court has Chicken Penne Alfredo for $8.09, but I found that I liked their tomato sauce better than the alfredo. They were happy to serve it with the other sauce.

The Chefs are very accommodating, I'm sure you could get it with garlic & oil or even plain if that's what you want.

I did a quick search, looking at one small section. I'm sure there are many more places, all it takes is a bit of sleuthing and planning. I don't eat pasta at WDW, I can make that at home.

I almost never have pasta outside of my home.

Pre-cooked, stored in a bin until ready to serve. Then it's doused completely in some sort of sauce. :hurl:

There are very few places were I would eat pasta outside of my home. Surprisingly, Macaroni Grill used to be one of them, but I not anymore.

Had it twice last week. Pretty good! Penne pasta with marinara, shrimp, spinach, onions, etc - all panned while you watch. I was on the dining plan, so I didn't catch the cost.

I have such a hard time eating sauce in outside places. Just so bad.

If you want cheap Spaghetti just go to Publix, buy a box and cook it on the stove in your resort ;).

Thanks to everyone who offered some great suggestions. To the others, I think you missed my point. Pasta to me is an easy, cheap staple for theme parks, like pizza. There should be atleast one place in each park where a person can get some spaghetti for under $10. I do love Tony's but it is too expensive for a casual trip. Universal has great, cheap pasta choices at both of their parks.

It seems that Disney is missing out on a big money maker, like I said "the profit margin must be huge".

Thanks again,
Frank
