Ale and Compass Eggs

Can anyone confirm Ale and Compass has gone away from the disgusting breakfast hot buffet and back to made to order breakfasts. I'm specifically referring to cooks *making* the eggs when you order, not getting them from a warming tray on the buffet line?

It appears there is a continental breakfast enhancement you can add to the old entrees, but no longer a hot buffet (thank God).

PLEASE tell me they are actually cooking good food again? If I order the American Breakfast, will they crack 2 eggs and scramble them?

When was the last time you were there?

The breakfast buffet was entirely little add ons when I went. You ordered the main meal and could tack it on. I tried to just eat off of it and take the entree home but there wasn't much there, I definitely don't remember eggs.

It's been the "buffet of sides" potential add-on for as long as I can remember. Can also order just an entree and skip the sides -- but if you want a couple beverages (coffee and juice) as well as a side of fruit or something the buffet makes sense. I'm pretty sure it's all cold/room temp stuff - there might be a toaster. Pastries/bread (sadly they stopped offering the Parker House rolls they have for lunch & dinner), fruit, charcuterie, yogurt parfait.

The issue I had was the main course food literally came from the buffet. I was there post Covid several times and they were doing hot buffet, including a trough of eggs. If you ordered American breakfast scrambled, the eggs came from the trough.

Do they make your eggs fresh now if you order the American Breakfast?

Yes. I mean I guess I don't see what happens in the kitchen, but they bring your entree to you. You aren't getting it on the buffet. I don't think there's anything hot on the buffet.
Thank you, that answers the question. They used to get eggs from a prepared trough, even post covid. Absolutely disgusting eggs and it actually made me stop goin there.

Ale and Compass used to be the best breakfast value and I'm hoping I can go back.
