How many of you adults go to M&Gs without children? I've never done any because I feel a little silly lining up with all the 3 year olds! I'm seriously thinking about grabbing an autograph book and getting pictures taken this year. I'm getting Photopass Plus, so why not?

My husband and I like to get our pictures taken with the characters. We don't wait in long lines, but if the line is short or the character is all by themselves we get in line. The only exceptions we have made to the long line is to see Mickey at the Christmas party and Santa Duffy at Epcot. I don't mind standing in line with kids. In fact I had a great conversation with a kid in line for Duffy, he saw my mini Duffy and started chatting up a storm!

Go for it Vitani! The only reason I don't is because the lines are usually too long and I don't have the patience. We always get pictures during our character meals or if we catch the characters at a good time. I would hate to think you would not do something so important to you for fear of looking silly. We are at WDW after all; our favorite place to be our silly selves! ;)

Last September..one week solo trip here! I did the parks, meals and meet/greets by myself. I can honestly tell you I had a blast! Some of my best photos were from this trip and ones with Donald, Mickey, Minnie and Goofy !! So no worries about your worries (lol) Just go for it and have a blast!

I saw lots of adults having great interactions with the characters during our trip, and even though we had our son w/ us, I still got several pics w/ characters, too. In fact, during dinner at Chef Mickey's, a couple of the characters noticed that I was wearing a birthday pin and insisted that I get up and give them hugs and take pictures. And I'm pretty sure I was more excited than my son to meet Russell and Dug. :) Oh, and I also got a kiss on the hand from Captain Hook! So, yeah - you should definitely make some time to do meet & greets!

DH & I have been doing character meet & greets and character dinings for years just the 2 of us! We have a little one now, but we always had a blast just the 2 of us too. There are always other adults around, as well as kids. =-)

I LOVE meet and greets and character dining! Back before the FLE began, my daughter, who was 13 at the time, lined up with me at Ariel's Grotto. We stood in line for an hour and a half in direct sunlight on a day with 115 degree heat index. When we finally got to see Ariel in all of her mermaid beauty, I said go talk to her. My daughter looked up at me and said, "Dad, I know that is just a woman in a costume. I just stood in line with you to see if you would go through with it." I looked at her sadly and replied "Awwww Honeybee, I am sorry you had to stand here so long." Then I happily skipped over to talk with my favorite mermaid. I cannot imagine going to Disney World and not spending time with the characters. That is the reason I go!

So on our last adult only trip, 2 weeks ago, I made sure I visited with every princess while I was in the World. I had so many questions for Tiana, Rapunzel, and Merida because I had not met them yet. My wife just laughs it off and puts up with me. Tiana and I discussed the lack of a restaurant for her in the FLE and how upset that made me (her too). Rapunzel actually called Eugene Flynn and I gasped. :) Merida was so pretty and hilarious. I took off my hat and bowed to her (as I do with all the ladies). She looked at her escort and said, in her Scottish accent, " Oh my! A handsome man bowed! What do I do?" She was told to curtsey and she did half of one with a smirk on her face "I hope I did it correctly, I am still learning." Soooo much fun talking with Merida. Always, always, always go see the characters! :)

That sounds like so much fun!

It really is. Naveen is a hoot too! He tried to make everything about him. Tiana told him he needed to go have more band practice and let her talk to the well mannered prince that came to see her.

i feel a bit silly because i usually don't know what to say, like for some reason i went up to pirate goofy outside PotC and after we had our photo, i shook his hand, just because i didn't know what else to do!
although i have seen a few good threads on this forum about what to ask the characters, even the ones that don't speak, to get good reactions. i quite enojy the characters, i jsut wouldn't queue for hours to meet one. just wish i had seen mickey during our last trip for a picture.
