Hi! Looking for Disney accommodations for an adult party of 6 that would fit everyone comfortably. Ideally 3 rooms but could do 2 rooms in one dwelling. Also not sure how to go about booking, like a timeshare room?
Thanks for your help!
It would help if you could give us something to go on.
3 couples? Adults IRL, or parents and older kids?
Do you want to stay onsite? What’s most important - cheapest, convenience (to what)?
And by timeshare are you meaning DVC or an offsite timeshare?
Sooooo, if you all want to be together, then maybe look at the DS resorts. They have the onsite privileges but will be cheaper than DVC.
Using DVC you would need a 2-bedroom villa if everyone wants to be together. That would have a full kitchen, washer and dryer. There are two types of 2-bed:
A lock-off where the second bedroom will be a studio (with kitchenette) but only one queen bed and a sofa bed.
A dedicated where the second bedroom will have two queen size beds.
Both will have a sofa bed in the living area. Kidani and Bay Lake will also have a third bathroom, plus a twin sleeper chair.
You can book DVC directly through Disney for $$$$, or rent points through a broker or a private individual. Renting will be cheaper than booking direct but comes with some downsides. The most important things to remember with DVC is that cancellations, changes to dates, resorts, room types etc are pretty much impossible unless you book direct with Disney as you would any other room. If you rent points, you are actually renting a reservation, and the owner has complete control until the moment you check in (and that means actually arrive, not online check in. You still get the onsite privileges but you cannot speak to DVC about the reservation. And it is a timeshare, not a deluxe resort room. Unless you book direct with Disney you won’t get daily housekeeping, for example, although you can pay for that.
