ADR Sniper vs. Booking Buddy

6 AM 180 days out, and I didn't score one single reservation.

I am considering paying someone to scout the reservations for me. We don't go until November, I'm sure I have some semblance of a chance.

I have heard of ADR Sniper and Disney Dining Buddy.
Have any of you used either of these? Is there another one I should consider?

We are going November 16-20.
We wanted Cinderella's Royal table, be our guest, California Grill, Ohana's, and chef Mickey's. Just three of us.

I couldn't even get any of my back up reservations.

Didn't @abeachchick note that there was a bug with the system as of last night? She said that you could not reserve any location on any date, at any time. Maybe they haven't resolved this issue yet.

If you are staying on-site, you should be able to book 180+10. Of course, you did pick pretty much the 5 places that are the hardest to get. You would need to try to grab those later.

I was told when I called yesterday that the system was going through some upgrades. Keep calling! If you are still unable to book something you REALLY want a few weeks out, try Disney Dinning Buddy. I used it recently just to try it out & had great luck with it!

When we went in October last year I only booked 3 meals, none of which were character. Everyday i would check and see what opened up and i was able to book 4 different characters meals (tusker house, ohana, chef mickey, and crystal palace) and be our guest for lunch. I would just check everyday (maybe 2-3) times and i finally got it. people will cancel closer to their actual trip. Good Luck!!!!!!!

I have used ADR Sniper with a lot of success. What I like about it is that it allows you to search multiple days and multiple restaurants all in one search. If you are just searching there is no cost. You only pay if you want them to alert you when a specific restaurant becomes available.

I got an 8am BOG reservation yesterday for next week! I guess people are canceling/changing at this point.

Keep checking everyday. I couldn't get a BOG dinner when my180 opened up but checked everyday and found one for the day I wanted at 9:20pm...not my preferred time but still. Last year when we went I couldn't get one for lunch and kept checking everyday. Finally one day during our trip I was checking while standing in line for the bus and found one for the next day.
So persistence pays off. Also, check at your 30 day mark (if you haven't found one by then) because that's when people have to pay their trip balance and sometimes reservations will appear.

Packages have to be paid by 45 days, not 30. I believe if the balance isn't paid by 30, then Disney will automatically cancel your trip and keep the $200 deposit.

Room only reservations are different. The balance due can be paid upon check-in or anytime before that.

Thanks for the correction. Since my trip has been paid for for a while now I had forgotten that. :)

haven't tried ADR sniper, but had luck with Disney Dining Buddy

I wanted wishes dessert party in October, they texted me last week when one became available.
funny thing, my phone was being cranky then so i couldn't book it on my browser, so I called. They denied there being anything available, I told them I knew there was, as of five minutes ago, they still denied it. They assured me that the system is real time and if someone just cancelled, it would be free.
I hung up, clicked the link on the disney dining buddy email on my iPad, and voila- reservation made.

bottom line, don't call, click the link.
and yes, it was a quick easy system, best $8 I spent for the trip, saved me from checking a million times a day.
