Actual Insiders vs Wannabe Insiders

It's too bad that we can't separate those people from the others. Outside of the few more well known members like that, you just never know if you are getting the right information. It still makes for good speculation and discussion, though, I guess.
Their anonymity and ability to fly under the radar are essential for their ability to post accurate info.

I have no issues with sharing or speculation. That's a big part of this forum. My issue is with people that do not categorize what they say as rumors, or speculation, or ideas-they state things as facts, and talk about their sources. And some of those people get their backs up if they are called on it or questioned about it. Until we see things with our eyes, or there is an official statement from Disney, nothing is ever 100%.

I don't know, I think part of it is just how Teh Young People talk today. Like you don't swagger into a room and say "Hey, 'sup? So guess what? I heard about a tentative new project that may or may not be under consideration pending a number of variables!" I think you have to throw down your bucket hat dramatically and proclaim something like "Yo you guys, it's on, I'm telling you! I saw it on Mr. Beast and everything! Oh, and also... skibidi!!" I mean I'm inferring, because I am one of Teh Old People now. 😂

But yeah, it should always be a given that anything and everything is up for change with Disney, down to the last second. But that's also why it's hard to know who really is an insider. People could have good info that was incredibly solid right up until the day of a D23 presentation.

I've not had a churro..are they any good?

It's a highly personal choice and the quality varies. Fried batter with a sugary crust sometimes accompanied with various dipping sauces. Some you can drive nails with; some hard on the outside, almost cooked on the inside, its something I'l usually pass on if something else like Baumkuchen or a doughnut is available.

Again, what good is this accurate info??? Without credibility it’s worthless.

A witness on the stand who lacks credibility will not be believed……..even if he’s giving truthful crucial, exculpatory testimony

Thank you! I'll have to try one out!

This is not a court of law. It is an online discussion forum. There is no oath in the terms and conditions. You are not going to get verified inside sources on a public forum.

Spend enough time around here and pay attention and it is not too hard to tell who is on the level and who is full of crap.

I also enjoy the reads. Everyone posting about things being built, taken away, all points of view are interesting.

I’ve been around here long enough to notice whose rumors come to light - so that’s the posts I’ll follow.

That, and waiting for official announcements helps too!

Also, keep in mind... there is at least one insider here who is also a complete troll and loves to mess with people.

(it's me)
(or is it?)

I've been a member here for 10 years now, and I've seen alot of people posting and commenting about having inside information, and talking like they have a source that works for Disney. To these people I ask-what makes you think that we should believe you? Unless you actually know someone at WDI/Disney corporate, why should we put any faith in what you say? Outside of Martin and a few others, everyone saying that they have inside info or a source should be taken with a pound of salt. A bus driver, a CM selling churros or your cousin that knows someone that has a brother that works in low level Disney management are not legitimate sources, and you aren't impressing anyone by trying to sound like you know more than anyone else. Sorry about the rant, but it has been a pet peeve of mine for a decade now.
I know an insider that tells me you are in insider. Spill

A bus driver was driving down the street when he saw a sign that said "Churros for Sale." He pulled over and bought a dozen. He ate one and said, "These are the best churros I've ever had!"

The churro vendor replied, "Well, I used to be a bus driver." Leave the bus drivers and churros out of this lol

A lot of times these people are given information and told not to release all of it. So they have to keep it quiet or only release certain information in order to protect their source.

And other times, they've been given permission from their superiors to do a strategic leak.

Or maybe not.

they definitely do though

but do they really?

I think that anybody here who has spent time in a listless, unmoored, uninspired, malleable and trend-chasing instead of trend-driving cesspit of corporate America... is basically armed with enough experience, sarcasm, jadedness, and prescience to be considered a Disney corporate insider.

Little do we all know, Bob Iger is on here! Under a pseudonym, and checking the forums constantly… dun dun DUUUUUN!

In all seriousness, it is somewhat interesting to think how many higher-ups could have an account on sites like these. Probably nearly zero, but we’ll never know!
