I will be traveling to The World in November 2014 with my husband, daughter, son in law and granddaughter who will be about 21 months at the time of the trip. What are our options for 2 bedroom suites? I have been to Disney about 10 times, but I have never needed more than one hotel rooms. We do not want Wilderness Cabins because both families prefer the privacy of separate sleeping areas. Any thoughts would be appreciated. Thanks!:cat:

There are 2BR suites in the Wilderness Lodge Villas. You could also consider getting 2 connecting rooms (door in between). We usually get a connecting room with my parents. It is not guaranteed - but it is considerably cheaper than a 2BR villa.

Art of Animation has family suites, along with All Star Music. You could also look into renting DVC points to get a 1BR or 2BR at any of the DVC resorts. The 1BR DVC rooms generally have a separate bedroom with pullout sofa, and can accommodate 4 adults and 1 child under 3. Some of them only have 1 bathroom, though. The newer ones, like AKL, I believe have 2. The DVC rooms are available to book through Disney as well, but it can be considerably cheaper to rent points. The cheapest option is likely to be adjoining rooms at a value.

Most of your on property options have been mentioned. Adjoining rooms, never mind connecting rooms, are never guaranteed with the possible exception of not having enough adults to have 1 in each room with children. AoA family suites, All Star suites, or DVC villas. Info on the AoA suites here -> http://www.wdwmagic.com/resorts/disneys-art-of-animation-resort.htm and All Star suites can be found here -> http://www.wdwmagic.com/resorts/dis...ws/07mar2006-new-family-suite-information.htm I agree with @RedDad that renting DVC points will be significantly cheaper than paying cash rates through Disney direct. For instance, value season in January, All Star Suite would cost $202 midweek, AoA suite $252, and 2brdm at OKW through WDW $618, while renting points would be $377 (29 points @$13 per). The amenities at each will differ, so look into exactly what each offer.

Love a little Disney every day!! ;)
Thank you all for your suggestions and help. I will continue to research and definitely look into renting DVC points. :cat:
Also a plus of the Villas over all the other choices is there is a washer/dryer And full kitchen in them. 2 bedroom villas in all DVC resorts have 2 full bathrooms as well with the exception that Kidani and Bay lake Tower have 3 bathrooms in 2 bedroom villas And have 2 bathrooms in the 1 bedroom villas. The one bedroom villas in all the others only have one bathroom. Also in the villas the master bath has a jacuzzi tub which can be really nice after the long days in the park. So yes they are more expensive but in my opinion are so worth the extra money. You can usually get the Villas with a room discount around 35% when discounts are available if you are not renting points and are a paying guest at DVC resorts. Oh one more thing downside to renting points vs booking is you will not get daily Mousekeeping. They only come every 4 days unless you pay extra. Us personally liked having daily Mousekeeping. Now we are DVC members so no more daily mousekeepimg for me. :( lol Best wishes whatever you choose! :)
