:veryconfu Anyone know how to get into the reserved viewing area if you are a AAA member. Or anything about it?

I didn't even know there was a special section for AAA members for the fireworks. And I just came back from a trip that I booked using AAA and I'm sure the travel agent I went through would have told me about it, or there would have been some voucher in my packet of info.

I do know that there is a place you can go for refreshments, but I think I heard that that area was closing soon.

I have booked a few of my trips with AAA and have never been given/told about a reserved section for fireworks. I just booked for a March trip and this was not discussed. Not sure that one exists for AAA memebers.

That area near the cafes right before the split to tommorowland... I remember that was reserved for some group during the show.... is that the AAA section?

Where I was when I took this picture:

Currently there is not a reserved viewing area for AAA Members.

Guest who book either the "Magic Your Way Premium Package" or "Magic Your Way Platinum Package" do recieve one voucher for preferred viewing of Wishes and one for preferred viewing of Illuminations. These vacation packages can be booked either directly with Disney or through your travel agent.

Hope this helps! :sohappy:

The AAA viewing area is across from the Plaza Pavilion restaurant; look for the yellow-and-white-striped umbrellas. You'll have to set something up with AAA to get in there, and then bring your card to prove you're a member. There will be CMs and little signs blocking the two entrances.

This area is also an approved smoking section during the day.

When we were there in October, I saw the AAA area across from The Plaza. I didn't take notice when we were there last week. I am an AAA memeber. When can we go for refreshments? I've heard about it in the past, but never checked into it. Thanks!

I remember getting a special AAA viewing location for Wishes and Illuminations back in I think May of '04. It is exactly where one of the previous posters took that picture. I think we used the one for Wishes one night but skipped the Illuminations spot. The area isn't bad, it was nice to sit and relax to watch it, but I think there were trees blocking the castle. We prefer our certain spot in the hub for the fireworks.

How do I know if I bought a premium package? I bought one with dining and waterparks and more.

I have done the fireworks viewing. Your AAA travel agent must book the trip for you, and you must reserve what nights you want to see the shows in advance. After that, no waiting around have funn till 8:55, go to your reserved spot, have a great time watching the show with very few people around. (and at MK you even get to sit !)
