I just want to know if Disney has ever thought of putting in a wooden roller coaster in Disney World I know it would be tough to theme it to there standards but it could be done. With the new technology going on wooden coasters now I think bigger theme parks might just look into building wooden coasters, and yes when I talk about new tech I'm talking about outlaw run:)

I don't know anything about Outlaw Run, but I steer clear of wooden coasters. Wooden coasters = pain....or.... = WDW's Space Mountain. No thank you.

Yeah I understand your point but I've been on some smooth wooden coasters before

I'd really like to see a wooden coaster at Disneyworld, or any roller coaster really. Maybe an Indiana Jones wooden coaster at DHS would be nice. But not a copy of the one in DLP or DLR.

Lucky! I haven't. Every single one I've ever been on in numerous parks/places/times rattled my brain. One, the Zephyr @ Jazz Land/Six Flags New Orleans, sent us from the ride exit straight home. Brutal. Not sure what Disney could do with a wooden coaster. The use of the structure style for the Boardwalk's pool is neat right up to the freaky It clown at the end. Yikes!

I've never thought about the humidity in FL being a possible issue that would mean a lot of money for upkeep

Yes, it has been considered. The Excavator, a coaster planned for Disney's Animal Kingdom.

The humidity in Florida is a huge problem for wooden coasters in Florida. Just ask Busch Gardens.

This. Think Space Mountain is rough? Right back row on Gwazi.

I would hate the sound of one in WDW. It would kill atmosphere.

hell yes!!! that looks crazy and awesome!! steel/ wooden hybrids are coming out more i guess. the six flags in san antonio is building one to open next spring as well, without inversions though.

Closest they might get, IMO, is a wooden-looking coaster like California Screaming

Pretty good coaster....wooden look....steel feel
i was thinking the same thing. it seems that it'd be better for it to only 'look' like a wooden coaster. it seems it'd be more restrictive to who could ride than most steel coasters. i've only been on a handful of wooden coasters, but they've all been super aggressive. they don't need to go nearly as fast as a steel coaster to make you 'feel it' and for being as big a guy as i am, its one of the few type of rides that can 'manhandle' me. i wonder what a 'family-friendly' wooden coaster would be like.
