Imagine a world without the life and legacy of Walt Disney. To think what we would have lost had he not invisioned a place where families can come and make wonderfull memories. As we start a new year, I personally would like to say thank you to the man who started it all. Indeed one of the most ORIGINAL and creative minds the world may ever know. A true ORIGINAL.

Like No Other.......

HERE HERE!!! I agree, Walt was a true visionary who's gifted visions and product output is a body of work that is rivaled by no other! From animation to the ever-growing and evolving theme parks that truly capture an overwhelming sense of magic, Walt has left a an undying, tireless legacy that will live on as long as their are humans on this planet.

Here is to Walt, and man of many dreams, but most of all, a treasured culture of artistic and entertainment reality. Long live the legacy of Walt Disney, a TRUE inspiration for the generations!:sohappy:

And we owe our biggest debt to Michael Eisner. The man who made all of Walt's dreams a reality. Eisner, the creative genius that put it all together unlike Walt, Roy and little dumb Roy.

Right!

Yes, Michael Eisner, the man that conceived, funded, and built the Magic Kingdom, Disneyland, and EPCOT. Easy to see why they ranked #1, #2, and #3 in attendance last year. People just love these parks better than any place else in the world.

I was once asked by my wife's Pastor who I felt was the greatest, non religious (you know what I mean), person off all time. I, of course, said Walt Disney. He, of course, rolled his eyes and mentioned this doctor or that doctor, so I explained my thinking. I explained all the wonderful donations, the The Disney Company makes, all the help The company does with Make a Wish, etc. At the end of the conversation, he didn't think my answer was all that bad.

I know how Eisner is "liked" by many of the faithful to Disney but remember when he took over control of the company years ago it was on hard times with no directions to go in. He took and turned it around and made it the juggernaut that it is today. The big problem was he over stayed and seemed to bring the company down a bit.

So he does deserve some credit in taking Walt's vision and continuing it in a slightly different direction. Besides :D he got back the money Walt paid to ABC to get Disneyland off the ground.:hammer:
