Greetings, all! I typically go by the handle Tarts. :3
At seventeen years old, I most likely place on the younger end of this site's age scale. Granted, I am at the moment too young to assume the necessary responsibility and cost for scheduling a WDW vacation. Granted as well, my parents would indeed disapprove of my proposing any large-scale trip at a time when so much else is at stake, including my college opportunities. Some might see no reason for my registration here due to those two factors alone.
I am here because of dreams.
My parents and I have twice visited WDW: in May 1998 and in June 2002. At five and nine years old, the experience was like no other, and I was distraught both times upon leaving. Since, I've felt a window has closed. Though I still have a few faint memories, I am unable to recall the exact course of either trip, and I feel that has had something to do with the all-too-quick transition out of "physical" childhood. While I'm certain my early Disney experiences were irreplaceable in their own right, I still feel as though I have not truly "been". I'm here to rekindle those dreams, those eagerly anticipatory moments, and to learn to appreciate the 'World from what I consider just another dimension of my childhood.
I will graduate high school in May of 2011. My goal, after selecting a suitable college and making some like-minded friends, is to plan a week-long trip alone to Walt Disney World that October (if I absolutely had a choice, during prime attendance for MNSSHP). Two days for Epcot; two for MK; one each for AK and HS; no Park Hopper; afternoon break each day, with extra time worked in for Blizzard Beach and Downtown. But I'm getting quite ahead of myself - or maybe not...
Regardless, I'm thrilled to be here, and I can't wait to become inspired to dive head-first into planning. I'm hoping to have a small inspiration blog for my prospective adventure up within a week or so, and I'll definitely be glad to share that with all of you upon its initiation.
Oh, and it should be noted that I am a crazy-obsessed Figment, Minnie, and Roger Rabbit fangirl. It shouldn't come as a surprise if any combination of those three become involved in my ponderings.
Until later...dreamers unite!
