I'm just back from a week at the World with my sister, her husband, his mother and my two nieces and usually I would be deep into Disney withdrawal but luckily I was clever (mad?) enough to have booked a second trip this year with my friend Ben (left).
Ben and I went to Orlando together in April 2016 for his first time, and my first time in 17 years, which must have awoken something in me as since then we've been to Disneyland Paris and Disneyland Resort in California. Since our last trip was pretty manic, and we've done the attractions so many times at the various parks we're going to be taking it a bit more chill this time around (he says) and I've tried to put together a decent adults only trip - which makes a nice antidote to the week of Princess Dining I just experienced. I've got a couple of character breakfasts in mind for ADRs because Ben loves his POG juice and there are so few non-character breakfast buffets. We're on free dining so looking forward to enjoying some adult beverages with dinner and hopefully we'll have time to check out some of the bars too - especially interested in Nomad Lounge and Taphouse. I've got ADRs planned for all of our table service allocations except for one, which we'll use on the last day depending on where we decide to go that day - suggestions welcome.
Here's the plan. We had originally booked Animal Kingdom Lodge but I got an email saying that the pool would be getting 'reimagined' during our stay so I phoned up and they moved us free of charge to the Boardwalk, which we're pretty thrilled about. It's a resort I would love to have booked if not for the high price point so a bit of magic already.
