Hey All,

What tips or advice does everyone have for Bay Lake Tower? First visit staying in BLT. We have a preferred view studio, what should we request in terms of room preferences?
Thanks!

Personally I love the views over Bay Lake.
North wing is nearest to MK, some of the rooms on the outer side of the curve right at the end have views of both MK and Bay Lake.
At the end of the South wing you could have views of the Marina.

5th floor is the Sky Bridge connecting to the Contemporary. There are two elevator banks, and both have areas where you can watch fireworks from.
The Community Hall is worth checking out if you have kids and want some quieter / craft time.
There are grills down on the beach area, you’ll need charcoal but you can hire cooking utensils - I think from the Community Hall (it was when we did it).
Movies and campfire are in the garden between BLT and the Contemporary.
The store at Contemporary is well stocked with food and doesn’t seem to run out (unlike Old Key West that never seemed to have butter in the afternoon).
And enjoy the walkway to MK and your own security checkpoint!

Second the above - I actually prefer the less expensive lake view to theme park (although many disagree). I like the serenity of the lake and don't love the parking lot.

5th floor is a good request if you want quick access to the Contemporary, but may want to stay a room or 2 away from the bridge for less noise. Otherwise, any of the floors above in the south wing are nice lake views.

Random toss in, if you like a quiet pool and want to experience some retro Disney - try the original circle pool on the Contemporary side. It's set out on Bay Lake and you often have it all to yourself. I feel like I'm back in the 80s when out there.

When we stayed we requested pool/lake view high floor.

We got all those things and loved the location.

Check out @Touringplans, @lentesta, where you can get pictures and views of most of the rooms. We stay there every year in a 2-bedroom. When we do Lake view, we request 8541 Inside South Tower. When we had done Theme Park last trip, we requested 8216. We also got a bonus Firework testing every night around 2 AM
