I most be strange but I love Monsters Inc. Laugh Floor. However, I agree, it does not fit the theming of Tomorrowland at all.
I can think of only one thing that would potentially work but it would involve something so insane that disney would definitely ignore it. Bringing the dream concepts of Horizons to Tomorrow Land. Horizons presented a wild vision of the future that could potentially still be considered. The people mover would not just be a showcase of the area but also a view into what its like to live in the future. The Carousel of progress is now a historical look into the distant past. Buzz Lightyear is a futuristic arcade which in truth is not far off. Space Mountain could get a mild overhaul to give it an actual story connected to the future. The only one that does not make sense is monsters inc laugh floor. I still believe disney needs to abandon that ride and turn it into something cool. Its space is so wasted and yet some how it brings in dozens of people every day only for them to realize after a while they been had. hehe Hopefully if the new ride at hollywood is successful they will finally put in something else. If you study horizons they left it very open ended for some pretty far out things to be imported to tomorrow land. The only problem is disney loves its IPs so the odds of them taking Horizons and bringing it to Magic Kingdom is crazy.

Monsters was a bad choice for Tomorrowland completely...and it is a cute show...for Hollywood Studios...Where it should really go....especially now with the creation of a Monsters Land. Tomorrowland 94 had a lot of things that felt like they were heading in the right direction... Alien Encounter, Lots of lighting and eye candy, whimsical robots and structures, Timekeeper... It all felt right , tonally. Thank God they didn't paint our Space Mountain Bronze like Disneyland.
They need a really good show writer to make some sense of the land, and then bring it all together...Currently it is a mish mash of IP and non IP attractions...nothing seems to fit at all, and the theming of the area is sorely lacking...I think they could tie everything together in some meaningful way...Horizons is a great idea... All of the show scenes on People Mover, Space Mountain etc need to actually tell a story again...Space Mountain's show scenes are basically the leftovers of previous incarnations that were not even close to as good as the original...
Likewise what is left of the show scenes from the 94' Tomorrowland....
THey can do batter and really should...before they ever thought about tearing out the back half of the park, they should have come up with a comprehensive plan for fixing Tomorrowland.

That would be awesome... The 1994 Tomorrowland had some good ideas with it's retro futurism and "city center" type neighborhood idea... It would be nice if they could go back to those ideas, but keep the aesthetics in the sleek 60s modernism style that it was at the opening... but more whimsical... Tomorrowland needs to be the Big Wow that it once was...

It would be nice if Tomorrowland had a signature popcorn flavor... or signature snack...something like Tokyo has....And have the kiosk themed to look like it came from OUter Space ... Maybe kids from another planet opened their version of a neighborhood Lemonaid stand...and make the presentation super Insta-worthy.... Remember when the Future was supposed to be fun?
