It's so disappointing how this project has been soured- Monsters Inc is one of the bets Pixar films and holds up great, it's so iconic and beloved, and the attraction is something fans have wanted for years, but because they chose to cheap out and replace instead of expand (or even use AC), now this new land has a negative cloud over it. It could be amazing but it'll still have destroyed Jim Henson's final work. I am sure that Pete Docter and the other Pixar OGs who worked on Monsters Inc are heartbroken over the destruction of a creative legend's work.
People will always miss MV3D --- but the Hanging Door Coaster is going to be heavily loved.

it will be heavily loved...and decent coaster will be. IO am more concerned that this will end up being a 60 second experience with a 2+ hour wait time...like 7 dwarfs, Tron, and the new Frozen Coaster in Tokyo...
So... I get why your upset, but throwing out random numbers doesn't help your case.

1) 7 Dwarf is about 3 mins long and averaged 58 min waits in the past month

2) Tron averaged 70 min waits the past month

3) Wandering Oaken’s Sliding Sleighs (at Hong Kong, not Tokyo) averaged a 16 minute wait yesterday (I don't have month long data)

Please don't catastrophize to make a point

maybe right now they are... When it opened and for the first few years afterwards it was up to 240 minutes...
Highest Yearly average wait was in 2018 at 101 minutes

Opening year (2014) it averaged 76 minutes.

The worst single day average was on 11/21/2022 where it averaged 154 minutes that day. (It did top out at 240 minutes from 3:05pm to 3:55pm that day)

So yes, 7D has hit 240 minutes before, but that is far from the normal wait time for this attraction.

Again please stop making up vastly inaccurate numbers..

Not trying to pick on you personally... I just hate when people make up stats or numbers to justify an argument.
I am basing those numbers on what I have personally seen at the parks, not analyzing data averaged over a year.... I have seen the waits that long.... So it is not a made up stat....Opening year we went back to the ride 4 different times and the wait was around 300 minutes...
and yes, 7 Dwarfs is about 2 minutes and a few seconds long.... others are a lot shorter...
I have personally seen the line for Tron well over an hour and a half.... and from Launch to ride brake is about 60 seconds... then the travel back to station ... None of that is "Vastly Innaccurate"...

Please stop making things up... 7D has NEVER hit 300 minutes in it's 11 year history.

It has hit 270 mins 1 day in history (02/19/2020). Other than that it has never been above 240 mins (which is also incredible rare and not "around 300 minutes").

If your original statement had simply been that you were concerned that they would build a short rollercoaster that will have long waits... great! I just don't understand why you are digging in your heals on false information. Either you are making up stats, or misremembering...

EDIT: Perhaps the wait time you remember was 180 minutes and your brain took a short cut to 3 hours (I know mine does) and that's why you think it was 300 minutes?

Putting aside whatever hairs we are splitting here, I'd say any new high concept disney coaster is likely going to be very short. Probably for multiple factors, not the least of which are cost for a deeply themed attraction and a feeling that it's not family friendly to toss you around for 4+ minutes. I just hope we get to 2.5-3 minutes perhaps by beginning with some slower moving sections.
