Above: The marquee says "Late Night Screams". I can't make out the banner to the right, but it ends with the word "You".

I don't work for WDI. I'm just saying that DL's design is more fitted for an action retheme than the other towers. And it would fit that park considering it's now mostly lands themed to movies.Just leave our Tower alone, thank you very much!
They can likely start work on Door Coaster and a lot of the rest of Monster Land while also keeping Muppets open. Eventually Muppets will likely close first and then they would do RNRC unless they don’t plan to reuse anything from MV3D.So any chance they don’t Re-theme RnRC to muppets until after the new Monsters land is built?
Having coaster and muppets down for extended periods at the same time is a capacity hit that the park really can’t handle.
I assume they will use some of the props from the MV3D lobby area probably in the queue for RNRC. They could in theory add the old guy AAs to the wall in the load area or right before the launch. Hard to use them during the ride since it just moves too fast. Maybe at the exit but they don’t want people standing around at exit.Maybe they need the Muppet animatronics for the coaster conversion.
This could work. Maybe replace the screen showing Aerosmith on a loop right where the ride photos are.If they wouldn’t cause a bottleneck, the Statler and Waldorf animatronics in the backstage exit area could work well.
And DHS is…And it would fit that park considering it's now mostly lands themed to movies.
I honestly hope that whenever they get back to doing big productions, they consider hiring Whitmire back solely for Rizzo and other roles of his they retired. He's still close friends with the rest of the Muppet cast, he's expressed that he'd come back if they offered, even Brian Henson has spoken positively about him in recent years (which really makes me believe Disney paid off the Henson kids to help make their decision seem morally justified). The Kermit ship has sailed, and it'd be cruel to take the role back, but there is no Rizzo without Steve. And honestly, the Muppets without Rizzo feels weird- Muppets Haunted Mansion made his absence super noticeable. It's likely never going to happen, but I can dream haha.He was considered for a cameo in Haunted Mansion, but since they don’t have an active puppet he would have to be rebuilt. Which would have been too expensive for that project. On top of that, Bean doesn’t have a performer currently due to Whitmire’s “departure.”
Yes. Mix the main character being off model in voice and tone and writing typically off you ruined what is essentially as timeless as a property can get.The Family Guy wrong sounding Muppets bit rings eternal. It's hard for people to get attached to an IP if they all feel the main character feels "wrong".
If it's good, we can accept it. I remember liking Goof Troop and wondering how they could get Max's voice so wrong with A Goofy Movie. But then I saw the film, and I stopped caring because it's great.Yes. A good performance, especially one that fits the setting they're going for, can make a lot of complaints vanish into thin air. The issue with the current Kermit is that the voice just feels, bored? It lacks an Energy that Henson and Whitmire had. He feels too much like a Boss character and not much like a friend. If it's good, we can accept it. The thing is, Whitmire doesn’t sound like Henson. At all. BUT Whitmire was given enough projects that he was able to get a grasp on the character and audiences were given time to adjust. I still think he sounds off in Christmas Carol, but by Treasure Island he’s come into his own and it doesn’t bother me.A good performance, especially one that fits the setting they're going for, can make a lot of complaints vanish into thin air. When I see a performance done by Whitmire and Henson, he feels like a friend, Kermit feels like an alive, dynamic character, when I see the performance done by Vogel it just feels flat, and it's disappointing because Vogel is a good performer, he's just not the choice they should have done for Kermit.
See the second part with the writing. If it's good, we can accept it. I remember liking Goof Troop and wondering how they could get Max's voice so wrong with A Goofy Movie. But then I saw the film, and I stopped caring because it's great.
If there's one thing that's important to a character, it's the voice. It's why people always have a hard time when a legacy character gets a new VA- Mickey, Bugs Bunny, even recently with Mario and Luigi. The voice is what really makes a character. The Family Guy wrong sounding Muppets bit rings eternal. It's hard for people to get attached to an IP if they all feel the main character feels "wrong".
In that case, you can at least chalk it up to the character being much older in the movie than the TV show, so the voice difference makes sense. I saw the movie before the show so the show was jarring to me!If it's good, we can accept it. I remember liking Goof Troop and wondering how they could get Max's voice so wrong with A Goofy Movie. Yeah, Whitmire never sounded like Henson, but his voice still FEELS like Kermit. He has the nuances and performance down, plus he was Kermit for nearly 30 years, which allows people to get used to the difference. Vogel is much closer voice-wise to Henson, at least in pitch (though he's a little deeper than Jim), but his Kermit still sounds off. He doesn't have the right "rubbery" quality to his voice, it's too clear. The thing is, Whitmire doesn’t sound like Henson. At all. Vogel hasn’t had any opportunity to get a handle on Kermit. He’s barely in Muppets Now, not in Mayhem at all, has 3 scenes in Haunted Mansion, and other than that it’s just YouTube videos and D23 panels.
He needs the chance to really bring the character into his own, and the he just hasn’t gotten that. I don’t know if he ever will given how hard it is to get substantial Muppet projects green lit.
I don't envy where Vogel is right now in regards to Kermit. The thing is, Whitmire doesn’t sound like Henson. At all.
