Right.........

Who will Disney complain to? The Chinese Govt? Chinese courts?

There are options.

I just keep waiting til China throws out Disney and takes over full operation.

Only a matter of time kiddies, only a matter of time, Just ask Fellowes, Audi and Chrysler about the days they came in and found the chinese 'partner' had locked them out of the plant

Besides China does not want to sell Mickey Mouse stuff, They want to sell Chairman Xi stuff so the Disney IP should not be a major issue.

The above is proof of what China thinks of IP or Copyrights this is a huge mess in the auto industry and others and China does not recognize or care. Just saying....

Not to mention 'CHonda' small engines - the copies of honda small engines which are sold on ebay and elsewhere literally ALL the parts are interchangeable with the 'REAL' honda engines cuz they are made on copies of the Honda production lines that Honda stupidly put in China 'to reduce costs' yep reduced costs don't need to make as many engines as they once did,

The cash strapped landscape guy is not going to put a replacement honda engine in his power equipment when it fails, he's gonna buy the $179 Chhonda instead as it will bolt right up and costs 1/5 of the real thing.

And not last anywhere near as long as the original. Seen some people not understand that they arent Honda offical products.

Yup and the bigger problem are the counterfeit spares that are sold as "Honda OEM" in official looking packaging I'm not sure I could tell the difference My power equipment dealer has a display and unless you see the 'real' thing every day the average mechanic would be fooled the packaging is that good.

Is capacity high enough at WDW to finally compare FP+ to non FP+ standby lines?

For example: Yesterday 7/27/21 Space mountain wait times Hovered between 70 and 110 minutes during the day

Looking at the last Tuesday in July 2019: 7/30/2019: Line hovered between ~110 to ~155 during the peak of the day.

Again we don't know if the parks are 100% full yet (but it kind of seems like they are). Source Touring Plans

Didn't we have some supposed insider (not one of our regulars) claim this was about to happen two years ago?

If this is repeated often enough it will eventually be correct, or, more likely, never proven to be wrong because it's always "soon."

I think there are too many other variables in play for an exact comparison. There's still a lack of shows/other entertainment at some parks as well as fewer places to eat and so on.

Most of that would theoretically make the lines longer right now, though, not shorter.

It really is a HUGE issue with alot of companies, dealing with Chinese knock offs. Some are so brazen as to mimic items packaging and logos. China just gets away with it. BMW, Mercedes Benz, Astin Martin and others went to China and tried to fight them in Chinese court and the cars they had there were Physical Carbon copies!!! The Chinese Court said there was no issue and threw it out. Look it up its fact. So when I say that about Disney, if old Pooh Bear look alike decides to take it away he will. Danger of doing business in China.

What most forget is managing the merge takes time even if only a few seconds per merge it adds up over time and manifests in extended wait time

If they did then they'd likely have to give up all Disney IP's. Every ride would have to be rethemed and the park renamed.
The IPs are not the reason China wouldn't do this, as they don't care about IP rights. They wouldn't because they don't want to lose Imagineering and Disney's expertise in operating a world-class theme park. This isn't the same as manufacturing, where you can just reverse-engineer the finished product and you have everything you need.

It's still true. How often do you pass the merge for a ride and there's no one ahead of you and a ride vehicle just waiting for you to get on?
On the rides where merging would come close to being a bottleneck, they have single rider lines to make things move quicker.
