Ok, a bit unrelated, but also somewhat related:

I was reminiscing over UoE, and I stumbled on this picture.

I have NEVER seen a picture of the building with this sign in red letters. It has always been blue letters. I have a really strong feeling this was photoshopped, but it looks too real. Did this actually exist or not???

I'm pretty sure that didn't exist. The original sign had red letters, but it was a completely different sign.

Photoshopped. The letters were blue the entire life of that sign. But the red used here really makes it pop. I rather like it. It’s a callback to the original sign.

I guess the one good thing about Guardians is that it got rid of UOE’s ugly second version sign.

I never thought it was that bad, but then again I wasn't alive to see the old one. (They changed it like two years before I showed up in the world). I am glad they changed it back to its original color scheme in 2010 though because the rainbow was a bit of an acid trip.

Yea the rainbow spines were...horrendous. I don’t think anyone misses those. The sides the building itself had much more detail and thought put into them that was destroyed when Ellen came in which is a shame. Not only did we get rainbow spines but we lost so many mirrored tiles and reflecting pools for no reason at all.

I hated the rainbow spines, but TBH they had a much better aesthetic than the final paint job of Innoventions/Communicore.

So what’s the current budget for this thing? I remember hearing something about it being insanely over budget (500 million?). Do we know what the original budget was?

this ride is gonna be amazing (probably) Im looking more forward to this than i was for RotR or really any ride I can remember. If its as good as I hope it is, then I hope they make another one like this in DHS that is star wars themed.
I’m disappointed with many of the decisions WDI has made over the last two years, and Guardians is in the wrong theme park—but I’m also really looking forward to this ride. :)
