Among other things:
  • Alternate walkway to Slinky Dog Dash (center)
  • Al's Toy Barn (bottom center)
  • Western area (bottom right. Round Up Rodeo BBQ was added however)
Lesson: Never trust blue sky art. Always over-promises and under-delivers.
Honestly it didn't really promise much... but it did under-deliver. I thought originally the Western Town was going to be a series of meet and greets that were cut and eventually replaced with the restaurant.... There are lackluster "Toy Storyland" sections in parks all over the world...none of them are particularly compelling. We are the only iteration with a real rollercoaster as part of the theming...but it is not enough. An indoor Alien Saucers would have been great, the parachute drop and hot wheels track ride would have fleshed the land out a bit and added some variety of experiences.... along with a lot of shade....

I feel like for this one there was a lot of substance cut beyond the toy barn, but there was more theming, especially for SDD that seems to have been simplified

Might be an unpopular opinion but I think TSL is pretty great and well themed and does what it set out to do. Some more shade and play area would be nice but theyb have been adding/expanding the food areas

I also have experience the bottlenecking I know some have though

Related to the current construction
are we talking about the same berm? I thought construction was in blue, while my proposed expansion is in pink.

There is another berm in green as well...

More quick food options besides grilled cheese will absolutely benefit this land. Galaxy's Edge's offerings might be a little too unfamiliar for kids, and with Rat Pizza closed the closest quick service is ABC, which also is a bit more on the sophisticated side since its update. Any plussing of the land sounds win win to me. 🤷‍♂️

That'd be a pretty substantial expansion. Perfect for an indoor attraction and then some. Maybe a play on American Idol, "Toy's Got Talent" show where you have Barbie, Mr Priklepants and Buzz Lightyear as judges of a singling/talent competition hosted by Trixie. Or a dark ride where guests venture into Sid's house next door and things get weird. Or a indoor mini-golf themed to Woody's Roundup. So many ideas!

The area really would have benefited from a critter carousel or some kind of flat ride. I like TSL but there really is a lot of wasted/poorly designed space. I hate how you can’t stop and enjoy the scenery because wherever you are, you are on a walking path and in someone’s way. Like there is no where to just pull off to the side.

I would love to see someone take what is there and show us how much room there could be if it was better arranged.

Do any insiders know if there are any plans to do something with the pixar courtyard area (where the Toy Story Mania ride used to enter). I know they had an Edna meet and greet and Incredibles offerings at some point but it just seems like such wasted space.

Green isn’t being touched, pink is part of the blue construction.
now this is interesting because pink is across the primary walking path and across the access street from blue... It would seem odd to me to put seating for a snack stand across a major walkway.

I also don't seem them relocated in the bathrooms because plumbing is expensive and it would almost back up into the SWGE bathrooms...

Very odd they would eat into this berm in relation to the blue.

Andy will not be constrained by convention.
