On Monday, Labor Day, we went to Disneyland for a few hours. The trip was great did 4 major rides in under 20 minute wait!

As we were leaving, I man pushing a wheelchair ran into the heel of my son's foot. I never saw it happen; I only heard the man shout "sorry". that's when my attention went straight to my son's foot. It was a small slit but deep as the Grand Canyon! (my view) Well, it needed 5 staples put in to keep it closed. Staples are coming out next Wednesday.

There was no way I was going to wheelchair him around for 10 days. So a few $$$$ dollars later, I have rescheduled the trip for Sept 16!! Can you believe that!!

God is always in control. Just another reminder.

Just wanted to share my story. Watch out for speeding wheelchairs!!

Ann~

I am so very sorry that this happened to your son, but glad that you could reschedule your dates....we will be there the 18-26 :) I still don't understand how people can go to such happy places, and be such scrooges!!

Thank goodness the old blue heel killer WDW metal strollers are a thing of the past! Those were awful!!

I appreciate this thread as I will now be more vigilant when I see wheelchairs nearby. I do have to admit some people come awfully close and I am glad that security says that walkers have the right of way - wish they posted that at the stroller/wheelchair rental area!!

With 2 little kids, the untold horror of disney is the crazy motorized people! I've had old people with my kids in their path and not only do they not slow down they look at them like curly haired little speed bumps! I've had the stroller knocked over (with no kids in it luckily) backed into my one son who had the good sense to run when that happened. They have a look like mad max! They abuse the system, they mock real handicapped people and they should be pointed out for the jerks they are!

The important thing is that its just a minor injury, but next time get a plate number

I agree with those stating the man should have been held accountable. If you even slightly bump a persons bumber on their car the police are called and tickets are written. To do this to a child is incomprehensible!

Strollers are just awful! Last year a little kid was pushing a stroller around the Italy pavilion and the parents were sitting off to the side, well the kid turned it right into my sister and nailed her foot. She got a little cut on the top of her foot. nothing bad but still. The kid backed up and stood there and the father looked at us, said nothing, looked away and I shouted as loud as I could "dont worry shes ok!!!" and then pushed the storller with my foot as hard as I could into a wall. He still said nothing after that. People are seriously so rude. Ugh, this topic makes me angry lol
