50th Anniversary Celebrations Will they be extended?

Hi all,

What with the terrible world situation I was wondering if anyone knows or have heard, if the 50th Celebrations next year maybe extended into 2022? If so how far could they go?

Disney doesn’t know what they’re doing a few weeks from now. You’re going to have to give them a bit to figure out next year.

Disney stopped all construction-- when they will restart projects and begin new ones for the 50th anniversary who knows. The 50th should start October 2021 (opened Oct 71) so that doesn't give them much time. IMO the 50th will be a bust especially if there is a resurgence of covid in the fall. Will they extend the 50th who knows

Possibly, perhaps, maybe, its anyones guess, if Disney finds going forward that guests havent shown up and decides that it could keep drawing guests in to replenish the money they've lost from the extended closure. They could rename the celebration to make it applicable. Anythings possible in these uncertain times.

No one knows. But in the past they have made what you would have thought of as a one year celebration into a multi year deal... remember the Disney Year of Million Dreams... it went from 2006 thru 2008 so when they find a marketing gimmick that works they are know for stringing it out longer.
