I've done some searching and didn't really find anything helpful. Looking to take one neice and nephew on thier very first visit ever to WDW next year. Because northern schools are different than our southern schools were looking at the week that spans June and July, making our last park day before we drive back July 4th. What are we getting ourselves into?

Great firework shows, very busy, very hot, and likely to rain! So don't expect the day to be one where you get a lot of rides done.

I have to say that traveling during the “Busy” weeks has become more enjoyable than the “offseason” times now.

Why? Because they have proper hours and staffing to accommodate crowds in traditional fashion during peak times.

And they limit hours to sell high price upsells in the “slow” times with less staff.

Don’t let the calendar discourage you...you’re playing right into an agenda we as consumers don’t want to support

Weve been in august before ( my wife and i) and we live in the nashville area, so this time of year, were used to the oven being turned on broil outside ha! how would the days leading up to it be? As the 4th would be our last park day. We plan to book this while were there in a couple weeks just the 2 of us, and then surprise the niece and nephew after that. its a 2 year plan. take 2 in 2020, and the other 2 in 2021. Hoping to make use of the bounce back offer savings.

Side note. My niece will be 17 at time of trip, and my nephew will be 13, so not young kids, but its their first ever sights of WDW.

We tend to use the last day, as a day to catch up, do some shopping, and see a few things we just may of not gotten to earlier in the week. SO i wouldnt be too worried about rides, that were not short waits or walk on during parade time etc.

In all honesty, it is a fun time when you have been to the parks a number of times, have no urge to "do everything" and are there just for for the 4th of July at MK experience, but it is not what I would recommend for a first time visit.

It will be hot, a quick rain shower is all but a given that time of year and MK will be at or near capacity.

The hard part is timing, They are still northerners, and school didnt get out this year until the 21st. any later than that, we run into my nephews sports camps etc.
