3 weeks away and my trip is falling apart

We are supposed to leave in 18 days. There are 12 of us going and staying in a house I rented. Friday we got word that my sister in law got orders that she is going to be sent to Afghanistan in 14 days. She received 400 day orders and she is a single mother of 4. I guess we are still taking our trip and we will just take her 4 kids. But she had purchased the 4 day military tickets for us to use. Not sure what we will do about those now. She has to be there to activate the tickets. She is trying to get her date pushed so she can go with us before she has to leave. I am sad because for one I don't want her to leave but two I have planned our whole trip and have many details planned out with the whole family.

Sorry for what has happened. To be on the safe side for the trip you should call and find out what you need so as to use the tickets. I would also suggest getting copies of her orders and ID so you can show them when you get to the park. May even want them notarized.
Really feel bad for you all and you sister most of all. However may god be with her and watch over her during her deployment.

So sorry to hear about your trip! We had planned 10 days down on Florida n Disney and I ended up getting a new job about 2 weeks before we were to leave. I had to go out of town for training and it the same time during our trip! I'm stuck in Texas while my family is enjoying the Disney trip without me! Luckily my mother in law was able to take my place so my ticket wont go to waste!

The JAG office will provide proper legal services and advice for this for free. Have her contact her SJA's office.

I hope she's able to work something out!

Pixie Dust to you and your extended family, especially those 4 kiddo's and yay that no matter what you are taking them even if she is deployed, what a wonderful distraction, or a last hurrah with Mom before she is gone for a while. God Bless Her and may her deployment be safe.

Thanks for all of the kind words and advice. Still no word on getting an extension yet but hopefully we will hear something soon.

I'm so sorry to hear your SIL has to go over seas. God bless her for serving our country and I pray for a safe deployment for her. Hopefully the rest of the family can have a wonderful time, even if she cannot go.

I second the sentiments with your sil being deployed I know that is a scary thing but I commend her for her commitment. I hope you guys can get things worked out so she can enjoy some happy memories before she heads overseas. I hope that you are all able to go and enjoy yourselves with or without her however, though I know with would be much better time....

That is great!!! Hope you have a wonderful time, watching someone's first time is magical!! (and you have it 10x)
I can't wait to see their faces during Wishes. I just hope they don't get freaked out by the lines. There will be more people in WDW than live in our whole county. ;)
