3 days of Magic!

Hello everyone! I've been enjoying everyone else's reports on here for years so I'm excited to finally share mine with you.
This trip included my fiancé Melissa and myself Andrew. We live in Oswego, NY so getting away from the snow, 4' fell the day after we left, and the cold -22* 3 days after we left was a great!
Our plan was to stay with a friend that moved to Sarasota back in October for 2 weeks. But being a Disney freak I couldn't be that close to the greatest place on earth without visiting for a few days.
We made the hour and half drive up 75 to 4 on Wed. about 30 mins out Melissa asks if I'm hungry? Being so excited to get there I said no! So we kept driving, then I remembered not being the Disney freak like me I better keep her happy and not ruin the magic. So, I made it to the welcome sign and had to turn around to get breakfast.

So all fed we checked into the Dolphin. I love the location of this hotel and the beds are so comfortable. We stayed here in '08 on our last trip and it made our trip a breeze. After a quick check in it was off to the Magic Kingdom!

When we bought our park tickets the CM asked if we were celebrating anything? I was like "Yeah I'm at Walt Disney World!" But, Melissa's B-day was in a few days so they gave her a Birthday pin! I was very surprised how many CM's made a point to wish her a Happy Birthday.

Now it was off to to explore! We hit all of our favorites, except Big Thunder Mt. as it was down for some reason. So we road Haunted Mansion an extra time or too. We even did a few things we missed in '08, Peter Pan and The Enchanted Tiki Room.

So we started in Frontier land, slid over to Adventure land then it was on to Fantasy land. Iw as excited to see the new expansion. I wasn't disappointed. Although I can wait for the Seven Dwarfs ride to open! Everything was built with great detail but, what else would you expect from Disney.

When we felt we saw and rode everything we wanted to we headed back to the hotel for a quick change and headed for EPCOT. I personally love this park. I love the educational value of the pavilions here.

We got there a little late so a few of the future land rides were closed. But we still got a few rides on Test Track and SSE. I like the new version of TT better.
Then it was off to walk around the world. Is it just me or does seeing the Mexico pavilion just make your trip?

We walked around half the world befor it was closing time. So back to the Dolphin. At check-in they were able to upgrade our room to a king bed with a balcony with a great view.

Day 2
We jumped on the ferry and headed to DHS. Melissa still wearing her Birthday pin had the Capt. Give her two Fastpasses to any attraction in the park! We watched he Beauty and the Beast stage show, what great performance! We spent mot of the day here, it was the first time I saw One Man's Dream, what a great attraction. As we were trying to figure what we still needed to do before we left I realized we hadn't checked out the new Toy Story Midway Mania. The wait time was 70mins but then I remembered we had the Fastpasses! So on we went, we really enjoyed it. I was wondering how we would like it with the mixed reports but we loved it!

Oh yeah, I forgot the best part of DHS. When we went in '08 we saw a statue at the antique store by the front gate that looked jut like our Great Dane Moose e left at home. So as soon as we entered the park Melissa made a b-line for his store. I don't want to tell her the change out a lot of stuff like that. But thankfully he was still there! It was even more special since we lost our big guy in Nov.

After a long day at DHS we head back over to Epcot. Today we got there a little earlier and was able to finish seeing everything we missed in future world and world showcase. Plus eat our way around the world. Margaritas in Mexico, bratwurst in Gremany, beef and noodles in China, a crepe in France and fish and chips in England.

After we were both stuffed we decided to sneak out before illuminations seeing as we saw them the night before. On the way back we took the boardwalk side and stopped in to ESPN since the NYR were playing. Unfortunately they lost but I was able to talk hockey with some Boston fans, just shows how happy everyone is to be in Disney!

Day 3
We got up early, checked out and headed for AK.
As soon as we got there we headed right for Kilimanjaro Safari. What a great move. Being a little cooler this am the animals were up and moving. We saw every animal own the tour I think. We had a traffic jam with some giraffes and even had a baby rhino run right out in front of the truck!
image-22.jpg

image-23.jpg

We enjoyed the rest of what AK had to offer including the chance to ride Dinosaurs 3 times in a row with minimal wait!
Then it was back to MK. I had to see MK after dark there is just something magical about it.
We rode all our favorite a time or two again I even got a pic of the classic never ending game of chess at pirates.
image-24.jpg

We FP BTM and road back to back. HM was having some issues but we made it threw. We did get stopped in the grave yard scene for a few mins. It always amazes me all details they put into their rides. We couldn't believe the amount of stuff we hadn't seen before. It was a great experience. The other thing we did this trip was spend a lot of time taking in everything. Last time we were here I was just running around trying to do everything. This time I made it a point to slow down and take it all in. The only problem I realized you need a lot more time!

But as always all good things have to come to an end. So as it was time to say goodbye I can't lie I was a little misty eyed.

So after three non-stop days of Disney on the way home Melissa says," next year lets go on a Tues-Thurs, Fri was just to crowded". I was like "next year?" I think I finally converted her. So I guess I'll be able to write my next report soon than 5 years from now :)
