Link below for CFP Predictor

Seems many think Tennessee is going even if they lose to Georgia
- The predictor show Oregon being an issue if they win out .... a 1 loss Tennessee chances drop with a 1 Loss Oregon
- A 1 Loss Oregon would be a good bet to make the CFP....same Oregon that lost to Georgia 49-3
- I have yet to see ANY CFP Projection that has Tennessee beating Georgia.....everyone has Georgia winning (why no shot?)
- Bama winning out would really damper Tennessee's chances

Big 12 Conference inks new contract with ESPN and Fox Sports through the 2030-31 season, beginning in 2024. The deal is worth $380 million per year, up from $220 million in the current deal. Deal likely to be publicly announced this week or next.

For the “A” package, ESPN gets the top four football picks each season, six of the top eight picks, eight of the top 12 picks and 12 of the top 20 picks. As part of the deal, ESPN also gets the rights to the Big 12 football championship game and the basketball tournament championship game. The Big 12’s parity helped convince Fox, whose package includes 26 football games per season that will run on Fox broadcast network and FS1, to do the deal.

From Fox’s perspective, the silver lining to the loss of Oklahoma and Texas is that the Big 12 will be more balanced and potentially deeper. For example, TCU and Kansas State sit atop the Big 12’s standings this season. Last season, it was Oklahoma State and Baylor. And the year before that, it was Iowa State. Fox’s deal also provides a slate of Big 12 college basketball games on Fox and FS1 for the first time.

Pac 12 stans are saying they can beat this number, but that's clearly copium at this point. No chance any of their top schools won't defect to either Big 10 or Big 12 by this point after seeing this money (and I wouldn't rule out few ACC schools leaving for XII/B1G as well).

Pete Thamel of ESPN (wink wink) also reporting that the third-tier rights package has been fully assumed by ESPN, meaning schools no longer have to sell individual games.

Alabama falls to LSU and Clemson falls to Notre Dame, effectively eliminating both from playoff contention.

Oof.
Yes....and most projections suggest Tennessee is still safe....

Surprising, USC nor UCLA is given no attention....if EITHER win out, at 12-1 Pac 12 Champ, how could they NOT be in the CFP?

Georgia
OSU/Mich
TCU

How could a 12-1 Pac 12 Champ not be in over Tennessee? Tennessee really looked bad, even though the Final score was a 14....

Assumptions Georgia and OSU/Mich are Conference Champs

My Oct 17 post pertaining to Tennessee really states the importance of Bama winning out....more important now than ever....and Rocky Top will be rooting for TCU to lose....

With Oregon and UCLA losing, there are a few 1 Loss teams dancing in the streets…

CFP

In Barring complete meltdown:

- Georgia
- OSU/Michigan winner

Controls own destiny:
- TCU
- LSU

Needs things to go their way, not just win out

- Tennessee … Needs Georgia to beat LSU and they should be in
- USC …. Needs Georgia to beat LSU, and TCU to lose
- Clemson …. Same as USC above
- OSU/Michigan loser

***edit***
- North Carolina could still go…in theory

Question is who gets the 4th slot if TCU stays undefeated, and the 4 above all have only 1 Loss?

LSU could really hurt/end dreams if they are the SEC Champ

So...if the CFP was already at the expanded 12 Team Field this Year:

1-4 with 1st round bye
1 Georgia
2 Michigan
3 Clemson
4 Utah

1st Round Games (On Campus of higher seed)

12 Penn State @ 5 Kansas State
11 USC @ 6 Tulane
10 Tennessee @ 7 TCU
9 Alabama @ Ohio State

Assumptions
- 1-6 would be the Highest Ranked Conference Winners
- TCU, Ohio State, Alabama would slide below Clemson, Utah, Kansas State, and Tulane

Todd Blackledge is leaving ESPN for NBC Sports, who will start broadcasting Big Ten football games on Saturday nights beginning next season. His final assignment is calling the natty (with Sean McDonough) on Monday on ESPN Radio.

He will join play-by-play announcer Noah Eagle (son of CBS's Ian Eagle).

Another SEC CFP Champion

4 in a row now, with 3 different teams hoisting the Trophy

And odds are out with Georgia favored and Alabama second best odds for 2023

Colorado is set to announce it will re-join the Big 12 conference tomorrow.

Big 12 leadership has just unanimously preemptively approved Colorado's bid to join.

The Pac 12's final days are here.
