Now its been 2 years, but I tried to pay alot more attention after more and more people were complaining about it. But im not letting any overpriced drinks get warm over it.
It's actually like a nature documentary, you have to carefully look through the herd for identifying characteristics.

The first indications are the exterior markings on the drunks.

Next look to the natural habitat of the drunks. These include benches and bushes.
Finally near guest services or where the first aid locations are, this where those who can't handle their liquor ultimately wind up congregating for some reason or another.

To be honest, we had shirts like that once. Me and DW planned to go, like we do every year, by ourselves. Then a distant family member mentions they are going with their extended family. Then some of their friends tag along and so on and so on. Turns out to be about 50 people. So yes shirts.
Most of them were dragging around kids and staying off property. So there wasn't alot of drinking for them. Me and DW did double lap around WS and hit every country twice. Still not enough alcohol to get drunk.
My point is those shirts are mostly false advertisement for amateurs.

I love the festivals and the booths. Id much rather walk around and snack than do a sit down.
my wife and i like the festivals and we will drive over to each festival at least twice as sometimes its too much to try all the food and drinks in one shot. F&W we may go back 3-4times and most times its with friends that have never been which makes it fun. the F&W used to be better in the day as it was a more rounded representation of wine from the US. there are still a lot of wines from around the world but from the US is very limited. i used to like trying all the US wines at the american adventure from NY, washington, VA and Oregon plus california (it was $20 for 6 tastings). its become more of a craft beer fair recently (maybe thats what others want) and the drinks are a little too sugary for me. they used to have wine experiences but had to nix them due to covid, i hope they bring them back. i still like the festivals, i just wish they had the learning aspect of them as they did in the past which i hope they can do again.

I would find it more interesting if there were whiskey and bourbon tasting kiosks rather than wine. There's a vast assortment of quality whiskey's and bourbon's out there and they deserve some attention too.

Burp! Good, now if only the run Disney folks would get off their keester's and publish a run event schedule so that the health conscious active folks can burn off the calories and make room for more tasting.

This is probably a factor, it could also be a genuine effort to reduce the crowding until we are further along with defeating COVID.

It could also be they start F&W early in July to sell alcohol and merch which have higher margins and bring in the lower margin food later.

Are we to assume from this release that there will be no Eat to the Beat concert series again this year, or do we think that’ll get announced later?

Why do so many kiosks not open until October 1? I mean, I know that's when the 50th starts, but I figured all kiosks would run for the duration of F&W. :confused:

Remember, traditionally, the F&W festival doesn't even start until closer to October.
So basically.. they moved up the opening of part of the Festival.

Do we know if the wine and food seminars will return for 2021? I know they omitted them last year which made sense, but wondering if its too soon for them to return.

I'm wondering this too. It sounds like a "full normal" offering in terms of booths, but not in terms of special events, seminars, etc.

One possibility: The "full" event, seminars, tastings, etc... Will open around October, the more normal time for F&W.
While Summer will just mostly see a bunch of food booths.
