Thanks for the response. I was thinking it might be Kesolowski.
There could be another one. I am referring to Erik Jones depending on the fallout on Leavine Family Racing if they get sold. It is very possible that Erik Jones might be gone with Christopher Bell taking his seat. Jones contract is up after this year and it is possible teams might be looking at him as another Joey Logano. Joey under Joe Gibbs Racing was not the driver he is under Penske. Logano needed differenent scenery.

NASCAR legend Maurice Petty has died at the age of 81. Maurice was Richard's brother and was Petty Enterprises engine builder during the heyday of Petty Enterprises. I know he was the first engine builder to be inducted into the NASCAR Hall of Fame and was part of the 2014 NASCAR Hall of Fame class.

Paul Tracy has announced he will be racing in Superstar Racing Experience. He is now the 3rd driver for that new racing series with the other two being Tony Stewart and Tony Kanaan.

I last recalled him racing in 2011. He has been a color commentator for Indycar since 2014. He is the oldest named of the 3 driver and first made the true big leagues before Stewart and Kanaan did. Paul is 51 years old now.

For those that did not follow CART and Indycar, I'll give you some insight Paul Tracy. Paul was one of CARTS most colorful characters. He even dressed up as a luchador for a prerace show once. A luchador is a Mexican Professional Wrestler that wears a colorful mask. He did this dress up while CART was in Mexico.

I remembered him when he first came on the scene in CART back in 1991. He was one of the better open wheel drivers in the 1990s and 2000s. Paul's prime to me was 1993 to the mid 2000s. Paul was a champion in 2003, but the depth of the field was on the decline in CART at the time. The top teams were leaving CART for Indycar.

Paul Tracy as a driver was fast, but he only won 1 championship in CART with it being the competition being down for a reason.

Paul won 31 times in CART, but he crashed a lot. People even claimed Paul had the most crashes of any driver when they were the leader. He even at one time crashed while having a 2 lap lead on the field:jawdrop:. Paul was known to make a lot of racing mistakes. Paul did win races when the fields were deeper. Paul also won races for Penske at a time that Penske was behind in CART.

I'm giving the comparison between Paul Tracy and Tony Kanaan since both of them were in CART and the cars were very similar since they will be in Tony Stewarts/ Ray Evernham's new racing series.

Tracy and Kanaan actually raced against each other in CART before Tony went to Indycar. CART and Indycar did merge in 2008. CART turned into champ car after 2003 due to bankruptcy.

Tony Kanaan was more of an oval specialist. Tracy won won a share of road courses, and street courses. Tony Kanaan won 2 times on Road courses, but the fields were weak in road course ability. Tony was a solid road course driver, but there were better drivers doing that in CART/ Indycar.

CART had drivers that had f1 experience or from a F1 feeder system. Not all CART drivers in Paul's era had F1 Experience or being part of a F1 feeder system. CART also had their own feeder system that had ovals, ovals, and street courses. Paul Tracy came from the CART feeder system as did Tony Kanaan. Kanaan won road course races in that series series like Paul did.

What happened to Indycar in 1996 started out as an oval only open wheel series and their first road course happened in 2005. Tony Kanaan's only championship happened the first before the first road course race happened.

Teams were after drivers with oval ability in Indycar meaning it was a more high speed version of NASCAR open wheel style before 2005.

Tony Kanaan as driver was smarter than Paul Tracy, but was not as aggressive as a Paul.

This affects Austin Cindric by 2 ways. Austin could stay in the Xfinity series for another year or being taking over Matt Dibendetto's seat. Matt's contract expires after this season.

Brad Keselowski out of the 48 car running affects Hendrick. I know Bubba Wallace is one of the names being thrown around, but Richard Petty Motorsports is offering Bubba a percentage ownership of Richard Petty Motorsports. Drivers having a percentage ownership in the race organization is nothing news. Bubba's name though is also being thrown around for the 42 car.

Matt Dibendetto's could be thrown into the mix if he is not back with the Wood Brothers. Erik Jones or Christpher Bell are names to be looked at. Jones and Bell's problem is everything is pointed to Leavine Family Racing up for sale due to Covid-19 affecting the team owner's personal business. Gibbs could have to decide which driver to keep depending on if the buyer wants the team or just the charter.

Other names being thrown around is Cory Lajoie, Tyler Reddick, John Hunter Nemechek and Alex Bowman. It is not a typo with Alex Bowman. There is a rumor going around that one of the options Hendrick is looking at is cutting back to 3 cup teams with the 88 team gone.

People think Tyler Reddick's contract is up this year or next year. Tyler does have a Hendrick connection due to Junior Motorsports.

Leavine Family Racing has been sold. They still will be competing at the end of the season and the equipment will be returned to Joe Gibbs racing.

I read that Spire Agency said they have nothing to do with the announcement. Spire Motorsports is connected to Spire Agency. That is a wait see thing since people did claim they were leading the bid. What I gathered is they wanted the charter.

What happened to Family Leavine Racing affects JGR a lot. JGR needs to loan Bell to a Toyota team for 2021 or find a seat for him at JGR. It sounds like if JGR does not do one of the 2 things I mentioned, Christopher Bell becomes a free agent.

If JGR decides not to loan him, they need to give up Jones, Truex, Kyle Busch or Denny Hamlin. Jones is a driver that JGR could demote back to the Xfinity series, but he is not under a contract for 2021.

The 2nd thing is NASCAR has announced starting with the Daytona Road course, there will be a new Starting lineup procedure. Most people will need an excel spreadsheet to figure the Starting lineup out.

The starting lineup is determined by 3 metrics figured in and averaged to establish the starting order. Points position will be figured at 35%; finishing position at 50%; fastest race lap at 15%.

The starting Line with the chase will have all playoff drivers filling all the top positions with the non playoff drivers starting behind them. When the drivers are eliminated from the playoffs, they are not getting a top starting position. This basically means when Phoenix comes, the final 4 drivers will be the first 4 in the driver line up.

The third thing is NASCAR has announced starting with Michigan that NASCAR will incorporate the choose rule into the restart for all national series except for road courses, Daytona and Talladega.

Tyler Reddick announced he is returning to RCR next year. If Hendrick still has 4 teams next year, the list of drivers after the 48 car are down. There is 4 drivers outside of Alex Bowman for racing the 48 car as rumored drivers.

Erik Jones is mentioned since Joe Gibbs Racing and Erik Jones made it official that Erik will be leaving JGR after this year. The others are Bubba Wallace, Corey Lajoie, and John Hunter Nemechek. What I know about Bubba Wallace is there has been rumors about him going to the 42 due to a Mcdonald sponsorship connection, but the 10 to 20 percent ownership is on the table if Bubba Wallace stays at Richard Petty Motorsports.

Corey Lajoie and John Hunter Nemechek getting different rides really depends what opens up. While Jayski mentioned John Hunter Nemechek as one the options, I have not read anything with him being connected to the 48 at any point. I'm guessing his named is mentioned due to him being a free agent and did race for Chevy in lower leagues of NASCAR. His dad also did race for Rick Hendrick in 2002 and 2003.

NASCAR has confiscated the spoilers 6 car of Ryan Newman and the 17 car of Chris Buescher after failing pre-race inspection. They got 20 driver and owner points taken away each.

Spire Motorsports will field a second car next year, with them having an alliance with Rick Ware Racing means around 6 to 8 crappy cars on track at a given time.

You beaten me to the punch about Spire Motorsports having a 2nd team. I knew about the Rick Ware Racing connection.

Out of anything, this should raise the question if NASCAR's playoff system needs 16 teams since the field is getting weaker. There also is the rumor of Rick Hendrick only having 3 teams next year.

What I understand about Spire Motorsports is they want to be more competitive in 2022 when the new car comes out. That always been talk from the people running the team about seeing improvement when the new car comes out. Basically the organization doesn't believe in spending money in cars that are going to be obsolete.

Justin Haley's name is being mentioned for the 2nd Spire Motorsports ride, but don't know if there will be a bunch of drivers in that ride next year. My reasoning Spire Motorsports since they started last year have been doing driver by committee.
