The winner of the Ugly Category is Brian France getting arrested in the state of New York for drunk driving and position of a controlled Substance. The substance found was 5 oxycodone pills aka pills that are a type of an opioid. Brian plead not guilty and still going through a trial. The man is a total disgrace to NASCAR and I feel sorry for his 7 year old twins for having Brian as a parent.

What makes this the winner is a combination of things. Brian France at the time was the Chairman and CEO of NASCAR at the time of his arrest. Anytime a CEO/ Chairman gets arrest for drugs and alcohol, it is the worst thing from a pr standpoint besides having NASCAR fans faces in horror. This also makes NASCAR fans wonder how much of the rules and stuff he approved of was done under the influence of drugs and alcohol.

Brian was in the same state as NASCAR was holding a Xfinity and cup race, but Brian decided not go to the race track at all. Brian made the choice of getting drunk and I'm guessing taking opioids instead at his New York home. Since Brian France was known not show up at race tracks during NASCAR race weekends, it gives people the impression the CEO on NASCAR doesn't care about his product, but rather get drunk and do drugs during race weekends insteado_O:jawdrop::facepalm:.

This is not the first time Brian France did bad driving while in charge of NASCAR. Back in 2006, Brian France crashed his into a tree in Florida, but the police didn't come right away with the police believing he was picking up his soda story. A lot of people including the media thought at the time he actually crashed into a tree drunk.

Brian France was actually strange at the Cup Awards ceremony last year at La Vegas and the arrest in New York explains his awards ceremony behavior sadly. The fact is Brian needed to be checked in a rehab center after his behavior at Las Vegas last year. The Truth Brian France's Sister and Uncle needed to step in after in his strange behavior at Cup Awards Ceremony last year and instead Brian's behavior left NASCAR a big black eye.

Let's hope he gets the help he obviously needs.

All I know is NASCAR had press release about Brian's arrest back in August, It was claimed Brian was going to get help. I don't know if he actually did yet. I do know Brian France likes to keep stuff out of the media spotlight or he's waiting till the trial is over.

There is very little information about him since the arrest. There were very short court hearings on Brian since the arrest, but nothing to report due to how vague and shore they were. All I know is his next hearing date is the 14th of the this month.

I have a little bit of information on Squire Sports & Entertainment having the Furniture Row Racing Charter. There actually is a person involved that not part that time that is not part of that racing agency. Jay Robinson is going to be involved with the team.

Jay Robinson currently owns a cup team Premium Motorsports with 2 race teams.

Jay Robinson has been a NASCAR owner on the National touring standpoint since 2000 that started out in the Busch series aka now the Xfinity series. The catch is he's known to merge with other NASCAR teams, but the partnership end for one reason or another. The catch is Jay Robinson always keep his party of the race team rather it is cup or a lower NASCAR series.

Jay Robinson is someone that I think you really have to be a big time NASCAR fan to know anything about him since he's not big name NASCAR owner.

Jay Robinson is known to run underfunded teams and isn't that successful. The best National series finish he had as an hour is 3rd place and that was in the Nationwide series in 2008.

@wdwfan4ver , based upon a number of your recent posts, it sounds like next year could be quite interesting with all the upcoming changes. Seems like more than usual.
Yes, it will be.

The thing is not all the changes are going to be announced before January. I read information that it is expect that the 41 car announcement isn't going to happen before next month.

Landon Cassill has resigned with Starcom racing for the 00 car. This does affect Squire Sports & Entertainment for selecting a NASCAR driver for their new team. Landon Cassill is one of their clients.

There is more information on Starcom Racing today beside Landon Cassill. They announced that the they upgrade the Earnhardt Childress racing Engine Deal.
I'm going into detail on what Starcom's upgrade engine deal does. Last year, Starcom used old cup engines without any data. What the upgrade does is they get new race engines, get research and development on the engines, and basically getting engine data from the engine builders.

There is potential big news. A deal had been reached between Bristol Motorspeedway and Formosa Productions to explore bringing major NASCAR events back to the old Nashville Fairgrounds. The plain is upgrade the track by adding a better lighting system, better catch fences, and safer barriers. The old Nashville Fairgrounds is well known short track that had a history in NASCAR.

This race track used to host NASCAR races in major series off and on from 1958 to 2000. This track used to host cup races from 1958 to 1984. That track also hosted what is now Xfinity series races off and on from 1984 to 2000 with some big gaps in years hosting races. This track hosted truck series races from 1996 to 2000.

The reason the track left the truck series and the Xfinity series was due to Nashville superspeedway was ready to open. Nashville Superspeedway is bigger and the potential to be a cup date only if the France Family or the Smith family owned the race track. Nashville Speedway left NASCAR due to the owner of it having money problems at the time with the tracked closed for good since 2011.

The race the Short track left the cup series due to two problems. The Nashville Fairgrounds was easily the smallest cup track in the cup circuit from an attendance standpoint with it only able to hold 15,000 fans. The 2nd problem was the race track was a victim of disputes between the city government the track operator.

Earlier this week, it came out that John Henry is exploring in buying a stake in NASCAR. There is some stuff I know about John Henry.

I first heard of John Henry as a Baseball owner back in the 1990s with him as an owner of the Florida Marlins before being a Red Sox Owner. John Henry is an owner of a European Football team. What I mean by European Football is what we Americans call Soccer.

John Henry has been involved in NASCAR since the 2000s as one of the Owners of Roush-Fenway. There is one thing to keep in mind, he's going to 70 years old next year. J

Since Jack Roush sold part of Roush-Fenway, this organization has declined to the point they don't have a Xfinity series team next year. Roush also folded their Truck series team years ago also with John Henry being on board as an owner. The catch is I don't know how much of Roush's decline is on John Henry because Jack Roush himself was known to be very hands on and not the easiest to work with.

What I do known is Jack Roush actually wanted Matt Kenseth to stay after 2012, but other members of Roush Management handled the contract talks and Matt went Joe Gibbs Racing as result.

FBI Agents raided the home of the CEO and founder of DC Solar and the headquarters of DC Solar this week. The lawyer for the CEO claimed this is related to a ongoing Tax Dispute, but the FBI is refusing to answer to the media on the nature of the raid. I don't know the amount FBI agents that raided DC Solar headquaters, but according to the San Jose Mercury News at least 20 FBI agents raided the home of the CEO:jawdrop:.

What the FBI took from the CEO and DC Solar Headquarters is Businesses vehicles. personal cars, computers, receipts, and cell phones.and employees were escorted out headquarters. DC Solar has been closed since the FBI raided the headquarters.
I'm sure there is going to be more details at some point.

This affects NASCAR because DC Solar sponsors Chip Ganassi Racing and this company also has agreements at NASCAR tracks to provide solar lights. This company even sponsors races at some NASCAR tracks.

From a Chip Ganassi Racing Sponsorship standpoint, Dc Solar in 2018 Sponsored Kyle Larson in the cup series and they Sponsored Chips's 42 car in the Xfinity series that had a number of drivers in it. Before the FBI Raiding, DC Solar for 2019 was going to sponsor Kyle Larson in the cup series and Ross Chastain in the Xfinity Series. If DC Solar goes away as a company like it appears, Kyle Larson is not go to be hurt as bad as Ross Chastain. Kyle Larson does have sponsors outside of DC Solar, but Ross on the other hand does not a have a lot for sponsors. The amount of sponsors Ross Chastain has is so small that he couldn't race full time in the Xfinity series for Chip Ganassi without DC Solar.

Besides NASCAR, DC Solar sponsored one of Chip's Indy Cars for a couple races in 2018. What I read is the CEO of DC solar is huge Auto Racing Fan.

Rick Ware Racing announced they are expending to a 2 team cup operation next year. The also announced they acquired a fleet of race cars from Leavine Family Racing and Front Row Racing.

I hope this the last new news before the end of the year for NASCAR. I didn't have a chance creating a top top news stories for NASCAR this yet because of the amount news during the off-season. I never remembered anything dragging out like for NASCAR News. There has been off season news in the past, but not this extent.

The aftermath of FBI raiding DC Solar's founder's house and DC Solar's Headquarter started.

Chip Ganassi Racing announced they are closing their 42 car Xfinity series team and will not being running Xfinity series race that year due to no Sponsors. That means Ross Chastain is out of the Xfinity series ride:(. Ross was announced in November that he was going race for Chip for the 42 Xfinity series car and was one the drivers that won a race in the Xfinity series for Chip Ganassi last year. Ross Chastain still does have job racing for also ran small budget cup team.

Chip Ganassi did say the raiding hasn't affected his cup operation. I said started because there is nothing on the tracks that used DC Solar for lighting and for sponsoring their races.
