The Country Music Hall of Fame in Nashville, Tennessee, has announced the 2020 class of inductees. The honorees, who will be formally inducted in the fall, are:

  • Dean Dillon - prolific songwriter who wrote most of George Strait's big hits (including "The Chair" and "Oceanfront Property"), as well as hits for others, including "Tennessee Whiskey."
  • Marty Stuart - a true musician's musician and a keeper of the flame for traditional country and bluegrass who has also privately acquired many artifacts of famous country music history and shared them with the Hall of Fame itself. One of his famous songs is his duet with Travis Tritt, "The Whiskey Ain't Working Anymore." He started as part of Lester Flatt's and Johnny Cash's bands.
  • Hank Williams, Jr., otherwise known as "Bocephus" - the son of a legend who made the music his own and brought in a whole new generation.
All well-deserved.
