20% off rooms this holiday season offer

I cannot understand how they can now come out with the 20% off on rooms this holiday season--Nov. 10 through Dec. 24. There are almost NO rooms available. (a few expensive moderates and deluxe, but no value).

My guess is they just extended the booking dates.
Its not really a new promo hence they don't have to make sure that values are available.
They are just trying to entice people to book what rooms they still have available by extending the booking window.

I guess I was just venting at my inability to find a room in the Oct. - Dec. time.
