Trip Report 2 broke guys and I swear this is work related!

Yes, yes, I know we just got back. We went in the middle of December, then again for Christmas, then again in the middle of January, and now - our third month in a row…

When: Feb 2-4
Where: All-Star Music, and All-Star Music (you’ll see.)
Who:

Tony

And Brian

Wait, wait - that’s not right. Pretty close, but not right. Let’s try again.

OK but those were reject “blooper” pics from our last TR. Here’s one where we’re overdressed:

That’ll do.

And…Mickey.

I haven’t been keeping up as much with all the little changes, openings, closings. I thought the new Zootopia ride might be in previews, but wasn’t sure - and we still had to book dinner, and decide whether to go to HS before or after. I decided to let Zootopia be, which was good, because it was only in previews for influencers (so I hear.) It would soft open to guests the next day.

Remember that lesson I learned about not park hopping so much?

MK before 11, AK around 1:30, and…

You’re just making the most of your trip. 🤣 We always parkhop. Usually because I want certain foods. 🤣

Kind of surprisingly, we decided to continue on and head to Hollywood Studios rather than taking a break first.

No, we didn’t go on any rides. We went to see Julie at the tune in lounge.

Per usual, we stayed a little too long, drank a little too much, made friends with another couple and talked a little too much, bought a round of shots for the four of us, and I decided to book dinner at California Grill. We might sit at the bar, we might not.

Btw, there was a pic taken of I think 5 of us + Julie, but it was on someone else’s phone. Maybe Brian got a copy, I’ll check.

According to the timestamps on my pictures on the way out of Hollywood Studios, we left around 6:20 PM, leaving us some time to rest up, watch dancing with the stars and vote for Topanga, and head to a very late dinner at 9:30 PM.

And depending on how you look at it, this trip report either ends on a high note or a bummer note.

We went to the room. I ate a chicken tender or two. Then I remember the bed. Then I remember waking up at 10:30 PM. Brian was still snoring.

I had missed both my dinner and my chance to vote for Topanga (Danielle Fishell from Boy Meets World.) I have never ever watched a single episode of that show before this year. I watched it just for her. She ended up going home that night! We watched it on Disney+.

I’m guessing I got charged $20 for the two of us missing dinner, but I haven’t looked yet.

Saved a bit of money, though! 😆

Anyway, I did exactly what I needed to do. I turned a spur of the moment business trip into a quick visit. I was able to talk with people about things other than building a Record Store, and cleanse my brain. Mission accomplished. Maybe a little too effectively, but here we are. No regrets.

I thought about booking a brunch like we did last time, especially since we missed dinner, but it really didn’t make sense. We were not on vacation. Brian had to get to a work meeting at 2 PM. We had a 3 Hour Drive in the best of circumstances. I had a ton of work to do. I asked Brian as we left, with our car, parked close to our room, if we should walk to the main building for a quick breakfast or something to go? He wasn’t interested. Meh.

I did get a turkey cranberry sandwich at a stop on the way home. 😋

And we are already booked to go back in about 3 weeks, and again 3 weeks after that. We’re good.

But I will have to do Guardians with some Dramamine on the next trip, or it won’t be for some time!

Thanks for sharing your much needed break! The upcoming next trip will help you get through until that one.
