2 adults, 14 nights - how much spending money?

This year (126 days away) we are returning to WDW for 14 nights. It is just me and my boyfriend, no children.

I was wondering what would be the ideal amount of spending money to take? We're from the UK so need to get it exchanged, but were considering taking around £2,500.00 (around $3,300.00). We were on the dining plan last year but this year we're not doing it this year.

Would this be enough for 2 adults, including food and souvenirs?

I know, we went crazy! We bought everything we wanted. It was our second trip, our first trip we didnt have much money and didnt want to be left short for the rest of the holiday (were in america for 3 week traveling around, from Australia!) so we were very careful.

We went to A LOT of 'fancy' places this time. We only had 1 QS meal the whole time, the rest were sit down lunch and dinners.
I also bought a fair bit (4 spirit jerseys in different colours between the 2 of us hahah).
We also got engaged the 2nd day there at CRT, so everything after that I justified with "well we have to celebrate babe" :p

We spent about $11000 USD for 18 full days in America (We were there last 2 weeks of May this year :D)

EDIT:: we are also like to drink, I had a fair few cocktails :p
That's so good though, I am glad you had the best time and got everything you wanted. This is mine and my boyfriends second time going together, I went twice when I was little with my mum and dad. We've already gone overboard with booking and staying in AKL for 14 nights, and we've only got 4 months left until we go so it's time for my frugalness and OCD to kick in!

I don't blame you - I bought one on my last trip and they are the most comfy shirts ever. Deffo treating myself to another one this year ;)

That's amazing, congratulations to the both of you! I think I read your trip report and your engagement had me crying (and also envious because all I want in life is a Disney proposal ;) )

We're not a fancy food kinda couple, I'm happy with my pizza, veggie burgers & chips!

Maybe work out what you want to spend per day?
I just saved AS MUCH as possible before we left then divided by how many days we were there. I think it worked out about $600 per day we had to spend over our whole trip. Some days we hit that depending on our activities (like our unplanned vegas wedding), others we didnt even get close so we just rolled it over to the next.
We came back from our holiday and bought a new TV with what was left over which was an awesome little gift to ourselves, because we didnt buy enough while away :p haha!!

Another good tip is look up the restaurants/places you want to eat, and work out roughly how much you will spend from that. Then you can add on a souvenir fund too?

Drinks at dinner were probably what added to a majority of our bill.
