I found this and thought is was interesting. It's a bit faded but it looks to be 351 for 2 nights at the Polynesian hotel. Always neat to look back.

That is for a standard view room. The bill doesn't state what room category was purchased.

My parents back then always wanted to stay at the Poly, it was like their dream - but we never did, because it was too expensive (never mind today's prices). When adjusted for inflation, at $320/night it puts it into perspective - expensive. We either stayed with friends at their hotel on the strip or Holiday Inn.

That $320 may well have been for a suite, not a standard room.

True, but even regular rooms were expensive - especially compared to off-property hotels. And we stayed for a solid week or more, so it added up.
