I am not sure if this is the right place for this or not....

What were the options for lodging in 1985? I assume there were hotels that were off site, but what about on the property? What were the rates like then?

My mother is going through stuff in storage and I finally found something that showed where we stayed for the first week of July in 1985. It was the Colonial Motel in St. Cloud. They only had 6 rooms and for $178.50 a week you got 2 double beds, a full kitchen and a color TV. Their efficiency rooms had B/W TV. This place appears to still be in business. It is right next to Reptile World. We didn't go there though.

Polynesian, Contemporary, Golf Resort or Ft Wilderness. Plus the multiple Lake Buena Vista options (I'd need more time to list all of these)

Or Hotel Plaza Blvd.

I'll have to dig out prices if no one beats me to it.

From memory there were at least 5 types of lodgings in LBV, and some of these had their own pricing scales depending on size and view too. Fairway Villas, Lakeside Villas, Marina Villas, Treehouses and Grand Vistas.
