180+10?

Im planning a trip for next spring. Its been a while since we have been. Previously, it used to be that if you are staying at a WDW hotel, when you get to the 180 day mark, you can make ADRs for the next 10 days, rather than making them 1 day at a time.

I see from looking at the app, apparently you can only do it 60 days out now but is it still thr case that on my 60 day mark, I can book all my ADRs if im booked in a WDW hotel?

And can I still do my lightening lanes the same way, or has that changed as well?

Yes its a big let down that Disney changed that 180 day perk. It does make it more challenging IMHO to get what you want. Plan out your desired restaurants and get on line to make your choices at the strike of 6am. Prior to that ADR day get your CC loaded in the system and get familiarized with how to get your choice and preferred times booked.
The LL will be more challenging because of the competition to get the most favored attractions and the availability of spots.

I always loved the 180-day ADRs back when Disney was at its height. I think Fastpass was 60-days. You could see reservations and advance ride passes all planned out before you even had to pay the bill. Now you have to pay first and "hope" you can get the LLs you want. Glad to hear ADRs went to 60-days. Last trip back in 2023 I don't recall ADRs being 60-days out. I just recall that when the day came, I found everything good full and got no ADRs we were hoping for. I know it won't happen, but I still wish Disney would go back to the old ways.

Disney changed ADR booking time from 180 days to 60 days beginning 2021

Wanted to correct you on this. You can see what’s available before paying for the multipass. And can simply back out if you’re unimpressed.

I was referring to paying for the Disney resort reservation before you could even work the LL issue. I understand you can make ADRs 60-days out now which is before you must make final payment for the overall vacation. But LLs are still within the window such that final vacation payment is required before you can even look at LLs.

Only if you book a vacation package. If you book your onsite stay as a 'hotel only' booking, then the deposit is 1 night.

If you have room only and cancel with in (I think) 8 days you lose the deposit, but otherwise the rest of the hotel portion is still only due upon arrival. (If the deposit is $200, it is package.) If you cancel further out, you get full refund. Though if someone does room only, they will probably buy their non-refundable park tickets more than 7 days out.

You can usually get a "room only" hotel booking at still get the same discounts. One of the better offers is the bounceback offer, which must be booked within 7 days of departure, (but can be cancelled or modified).

Sometimes if you want a room only booking, and book via phone you have to REALLY push back hard with the CM's.

Sorry if I was unclear. Yes, I was specifically referring to an on-site Disney resort stay with tickets and dining plan. For us, nothing else would do so that was what I spoke to. Just personal preference that I would never book room only, so I did not consider that.

So, for us, final Resort room payment would be required at the 30-day point before any LL availability.

Oh, for when it was 60-days.

Since you buy a full package, you would really cancel an entire trip if LLs weren't suitable for you? Seems kind of overkill. And I haven't heard of anyone onsite unable to book decent LL selections at 7+14(?). Maybe I just haven't paid that much attention.
