1-day w/ LL vs. 3-days w/o LL?

Hey folks! Hope everybody’s having a great summer so far. I am looking for some advice about the week of June 16 that we will be in the area. We are pretty familiar with Disney World, we have stayed on property and done seven day park weeks for the past seven years now. This will be the first time that we are in Orlando NOT just for Disney lol. We are there for a volleyball tournament, and want to spend some time at Disney World.

What we are wondering is: does anyone have an opinion on whether it would be better to do 1 park day, which comes to about $1100 for my crew of six, and then get lightning lanes to be able to ride our favorite things. Or, take advantage of the 50% off deal they have going right now and get 3 day tickets, which comes to about $1700 and no lightning lanes so that we have plenty of time in the parks to ride the things that we want to. Our family is definitely a ride family, and we enjoy that part of it as much as anything else.

Kids are all daughters, ages 14, 11, 10, and six. And then my wife and myself.

We’re not staying on property and we always have; our last trip was in Oct 2024.

I don’t know what would be best for your family.

I’ll be at WDW for a week in August, and we’re doing 1 park day with LL. We did look at all the discounted ticket options and with the heat decided to just bang out one day. Now, we’re not hopping. Just DHS. And we’re not even going to do a whole day. Probably won’t go until after lunch.

I think you can have a lot of fun with just one day, BUT if you want to hit lots of rides at lots of parks you can also get a lot done by rope dropping. What rides do the kids/you want to do.

I'd much rather book a 3 day trip than a one day if it was an option. More Dis time is where I'm happiest, even if I might miss a more popular attraction or two. But the LL isn't always neccesary and in most cases just a money grab by Dis. If you get in early and stay late you can manage even the most popular attractions. So many people are reporting the crowds are down now and expecting to be down especially with the Uni Epic drawing guests away. 3 days vs 1 in my mind is no question.
