Opinions about Hollywood Brown Derby at Hollywood Studios

HBD has always been a favorite for me. Service may be slower than many TS spots, but TBH, if I’m shelling out Signature prices, I may as well really linger and enjoy it. The atmosphere at HBD is probably the biggest selling point for me, save for the one time we were seated in that back room...

    After Hours for Summer?

I’m not an AP, and my hard ticket was automatically linked to my MDE account for an upcoming After Hours event, and I was able to schedule FPS for the few hours before the event starts.

Which restaurants are too nice for kids?

It sounds like she would be fine just about anywhere. I know that I thoroughly appreciated finer WDW establishments as a child.

    Is Le Cellier worth it?

I don’t really think it’s worth it’s Signature status (which wasn’t authentically earned anyway). That being said, it’s probably one of the better in-park places to get a steak.

News Disney Parks Celebrate 90 Years of Mickey Mouse with the 'World’s Biggest Mouse Party'

Somewhat related - I received my D23 Gold Member gift last week and the reproductions of Mickey memorabilia are stunning. I got particularly giddy at the Disney Channel ‘83 premiere party napkin and the Tokyo Disneyland bag. The portrait looks great on the magazine cover. And first I wasn’t...

News Reflections of Earth confirmed to be replaced by Harmonious

Sad to see RoE end as it’s got some of my fave park music. Glad I’ll get to see it a couple more times next year before it’s retired.

Mary Poppins Sequel in the works

I’ve been cautiously optimistic all along about this, but this trailer has taken me to truly enthusiastic. I am loving that they incorporated the 2D animation.

Do you count calories at Food & Wine?

I lost 80 pounds 11 years ago and have kept it off. I stay very conscious of what I eat but vacation is a different story. A vacation should be just that - a vacation from all your normal routines and concerns. That being said, I don’t overdo it at the parks and resorts, but I don’t deprive...

Question for those who stay in the values.

I’ve stayed at all levels, as well as DVC, and I’ve never really had an issue with the values. Of course, I’d choose a deluxe if money were always no object, but the values have served me well on several occasions, POP and AoA being my preferred if going with that style. And as has been said...

TCM Disney Night: Oct 15, 2018

Great lineup! Navigator and Black Hole were childhood fascinations for me and I’m so glad to see Bedknobs on TCM.

    Best Original WDW Attraction Music

So many, but Grim Grinning Ghosts, Golden Dreams, the original Soarin’ and Great Big Beautiful Tomorrow are at the top. Also, I know it isn’t original music, but I love the Impressions de France score.

Disney Working on Live-Action Adaption of Winnie the Pooh (NOT A JOKE.)

Agreed. To me, this is one of the better executed of the live action films. It’s not a remake so there’s no need to be tied to any specific story beats, which really freed the filmmakers to create something different. It’s heartwarming, small in the best way and surprisingly soul-stirring...

    A Spirited 15 Rounds ...

I’m relieved to see that it looks like a Disney film and tv library will anchor the service. I’m excited for new content but access to the library is one of the big draws for me.

    Favourite "strange" WDW smell.....

My fave lobby smell is probably the Grand Flo. Closest I’ve found in the real world is Bath & Body Works’ Japanese Cherry Blossom scent.

    Favorite in-park music?

One I love that I haven’t seen mentioned yet is The Land Pavilion loop. It’s got great music from film scores like Out of Africa.

What's your favorite time of day at WDW?

I'd have to say my absolute favorite is dusk in MK. Whether you're returning to the park after a respite at your hotel or you've been deep into one of the lands, when you emerge on Main Street at dusk and you discover they've turned the lights on? It doesn't get much better than that. You have...

Favorite smell at Walt Disney World

    It's a very faint, sweet/smoky smell.

    Disney in Late February

One of my very favorite WDW trips was a solo I did Feb 28-March 6 of 2013. Great weather, crowds very reasonable and I was able to catch the very beginning of F&G.

Favorite smell at Walt Disney World

So many. The smell of the lobbies at AKL and the Grand Flo. The water on POTC and Splash. The smells of Main Street (even Casey's). The evergreen scent in Soarin'. The smells of The Land pavilion.
